What was off about it?? "i's" dotted with smileys?? - 'cause that is seriously disturbed.

I went through a stage like that in my late teens. Started collecting TV guides. Couldn't throw them out because they had 'important articles' in them. Still I never, ever reread one ( but the important thing was that I might). TV guides proved to be a 'gateway' obsession, as I moved onto the harder stuff, like supermarket tabloids. At one point I had about 5 years of National Enquirers boxed up in the garage.

My father was a neat freak, who wanted to throw stuff away before it hit the floor. So the poor man must've been beside himself. Adolescence is such a troubled time.

Delta's husband has been there for her for better or worse, in sickness and in health.

My grandpa was like that with my grandma and she was schizophrenic.. He loved her til she died, then he followed soon after.. Only at GR would someone be berated for staying with an ill wife.

There are lots of straight men who stand by the women they love. That's why wedding vows usually include "in sickness and in health."

I know of at least 3 men who took care of their sick wives until they died of various causes, including mental illness, Alzheimer's and cerebral palsy; it's really not that uncommon.

It was written with heavy black ink and hard pressure, almost tearing the paper. I have never before or since seen an autograph that made my skin crawl. It just looked-deranged! Can't totally explain it or my reaction.

My step dad is taking care of my crazy ass mother. Thank god!
He has for the last 20 years. Bless the man who honors those
    wedding vows.

Unfortunately, no. Not just at GR but I think it's crummy too. Sometimes when people haven't been in those shoes they find it easier to poke fun/be flippant. Here's hoping they don't have to eat their words someday.
