I've known of kids with autism and ADD whose parents were not smokers though.
God bless you and your son.

This makes me love that smelly, greasy, boozy, man-slut, again.
I know where he is coming from- once I "got over" my son being autistic, I can't imagine him any other way....and honestly, I have met quite a few "normal" boys around his age who are a lot weirder than he is!

Wow, kind of looks like a manager of mine in that pic.
I never really got on the Colin train because of the bad boy vibe he had, but reading these threads about him and seeing pictures of him and his son together makes me join that train.

I now love him. *swoon* now if only I could get over the fact that he "allegedly" has herpes...

It's strange but when you have a child with any kind if 'disability' it's just part of who they are. Of course as a parent you wish it was different sometimes, especially when you see them struggling or missing out or 'normal' things, but that would mean the child you've always known and loved wouldn't be the same person. And if your child does have some kind of problem then for God's sake talk about it, don't be embarrassed, explain it to people who don't understand, don't make it some deep dark secret. It's nothing to be ashamed of, although people do walk on eggshells trying hard not to make any kind of comment.
