Meryl doesn't even try anymore. She just calls Lanvin and asks for curtains with a belt.~Bitter

Jessa Duggar Seewald is opening up about her firstborn – and why she was rushed to the ER following a dramatic two-day labor. Subscribe now for this Duggar baby exclusive, only in PEOPLE!

After an intense two-day labor,Jessa (Duggar) Seewald is happily settling into motherhood.

"When we got home from the hospital, we had the baby on the bed between us, and we were lying there – it seemed like a dream," she tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week's issue.

Jessa, 23, and her husband Ben Seewald welcomed their first child, son Spurgeon Elliot, on Nov. 5

The unique moniker honors 19th century preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon. But the baby boy's parents are still adjusting to their new names: Mom and Dad.

"Jessa and I are trying to call each other Mom and Dad just so this whole being-parents thing can sink in a little," says Ben, 20.

It's a job the TLC reality stars feel blessed to have.

"I can't believe he's really ours," Jessa says of Spurgeon. "It is so amazing. He's a miracle."

For much more on Jessa and Ben Seewald – including exclusive photos of their son, a glimpse into their lives as new parents and their plans for baby number two – pick up this week's issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday

I said it in the old thread but it bears repeating. Raising sex pests and being judgmental famewhores is bad, sure, but the real crime is the hair. THE REAL CRIME IS THE HAIR!

I saw this posted on Previously tv. This teen knows the Duggars, some better than others. He's 16 and in ATI and can't wait to leave when he's 18. Everyone on reddit seemed pretty supportive. His family isn't as strict as the Duggars but they have some of the same life rules. His internet and phone are monitored but he used his phone to post when he could (thought I sure could never post from of phone as clearly as he did). Anyway, I could not stop reading. If you read it, let us know what you think.

That led me down the rabbit hole. How do we rescue Jana?

Jana Forced To Spend Nights Caring For Sister Jessa’s New Baby

Inside all the new responsibilities of the unmarried reality star.

    Posted on Nov 12, 2015 @ 16:56PM

    CBN

Single Jana Duggar has turned into Cinderella now that the burden of caring for her sister Jessa Duggar‘s newborn son has fallen squarely on her shoulders!
While Jessa Duggar Seewald, 23, went through an incredibly painful days-long labor, her 25-year-old sister Jana was right by her side, acting as midwife.
Their sister Jinger, 22, mom, Michelle Duggar, 49, and Jessa’s mother-in-law Guinn, 41, were also there to help Jessa deliver her baby son.
PHOTOS: Jana ‘Cinderella’ Duggar Really Does It All For Her Siblings

The situation took a frightening turn when Jessa, who was not fully dilated after 10 hours of painful contractions, finally gave birth and was rushed to the hospital for loss of blood.
Since Jessa’s return home, Jana has been doing much of the heaving lifting, helping to change the baby’s diapers and taking on other night nurse duties so her sister can rest.
However, Jessa told People she hasn’t exactly been getting a lot of R&R, despite Jana’s help.

“I thought I’d sleep at night, but I hear him breathe or something and I take out a flashlight and shine it on his face to make sure he’s okay,” Jessa told the magazine.
And in an uncaring dig at her unmarried and childless sister, who is giving up her own life to be at the beck and call of her sister, Jessa said: “You never realize the responsibility of being a parent until you have a baby yourself.”

I'm sorry but JIll and Jessa overdramatize their labor 10 hours of active labor isn't 2 days.
They make birthing a dang competition so I had a braxton hicks contraction 3 days before I had my babeh so I must have been in labor for 3 days.
By that logic I was in labor for almost 18 weeks.
