Hmmm, interesting statement. I wouldn't take it too seriously. He's sort of giving Brad a compliment, saying he knows Brad's a successful, well-known figure.
Good sense of humor on Chris Martin's part though. At least he's not acting like some dumb-ass trashing his wife's ex-boyfriends. That would be immature.

i hate coldplay and don't particularly care for this guy however i don't think he meant it seriously. it's the sort of thing people say in passing when discussing american politics, i don't think he means it.

He was interviewed on the radio tonight for a prestidgious radion program in the UK. All of coldplay were there, but when the interviewer asked him about a song HE REFUSED TO ANSWER AND WALKED OUT OF THE INTERVIEW. Sounded like a total dick; and if I hadn't just spent £8 of my hard earned cash on his new cd I'd have vowed never, ever to buy it.
Completely humilitaed the presenter, and it wasn't like he was being nasty or anything, it was a live interview & he just said to the rest of them "Oh! Have I offended him?" the rest of the band laughed embarassedly and said no & had to carry on with the interview....
(if you want to hear it it was on BBC Radio 4 on a program called "front row" (an Arts program) and you can listen again to it through their media player...)
