At Montreal city hall, the flags are flying at half mast. They're like royalty here.

4, if you count Lemmy, who was both British and almost 69. Maybe this is the start of a new, Canadian death cluster. I wonder if the Bieb's insurance premiums are paid up?

And it wasn't just cancer patients.
It's very interesting how it works. Very sad too, as their loved ones often get their hopes up. I first heard of the eating scenario from a work friend who was hopeful after her father suddenly started sitting up and eating a lot after not being able to eat for so long. She was devastated when he died shortly after. Such a cruel disease for all concerned.

this was to be expected but still, very sad.

about dying people suddenly getting better right before death - it's bittersweet, because it's like a final gift to the loved ones to say goodbye (if someone wasn't responsive before), but it also gives you false hope that maybe a miracle is going to happen.

I know! There is been what seems like a crazy increase in death in my daily life as well. Everyone made it to then new year and are now dropping like flies.

I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if she can remember a time when he wasn't a major part of her life.

So sad for Celine and her family. They were a powerhouse couple.

Justin Bieber is not terminally ill and I hope he does not die in the near future.
Shit on him all you want but don't wish death on him. The boy has talent.

"Canadian Death Cluster" sounds like the kind of metal band name that Lemmy would approve of.

CELINE DION'S BROTHER HOURS TO LIVE ... DYING OF CANCER

Celine Dion's older brother Daniel is on his deathbed and only has hours left to live after

a fight with cancer ... TMZ has learned.
The news comes less than 24 hours after the death of Celine's husband, Rene Angelil, who also died of cancer.
Daniel, 59, has been fighting brain, tongue and throat cancer in Celine's native Montreal according to his sister, Claudette. He's surrounded by family, including their 89-year-old mother, but it's so bad the family doesn't think he'll make it through another week.
Rene also died of throat cancer.

My goodness, my heart goes out to her and her loved ones.

Dealing with her husband's loss, and her brother battling brain, tongue, and throat cancer - I just cannot fathom the amount of heartbreak and emotion she and her family must be going through.
