Yeah that 1) We don't really follow British royals much and 2) you get famous with one name and it sticks. Nicole Kidman ain't gonna change to Nicole Urban. I think only Grace Kelly got away with being recognized as Princess Grace. But she was motherfucking Princess Grace.

They call her the DoC all the time - they did on E! and TMZ.

If anything, the US media OVERcovers the British royals, to the point of overexposure. Shit, Di's been dead 17 years, and some magazines are STILL doing cover stories of her. Someone is always putting out an "untold" Diana story. And the entertainment and fashion shows are always doing a "what Kate is wearing" segment. Not to mention Prince Harry and his latest gf/booze binge or whathaveyou.

Middleton or DoC, she will always be Kate to me.

    I am thrilled for them!

My sister is 15 months younger than I and I loved being an Irish Twin, as they say.

My mother said, in her opinion, it was actually easier. But who knows.

My older brother and I are 19 months apart. My mom was in labor for almost an entire day with him. With me, she claims it was less than four hours. Go figure.

I thought Irish Twins were babies born 12 months or less apart.

I think of her as Kate Middleton. It was her name when I first started hearing about her dating William, and that is how I think of her still.

I thought that about Irish Twins too. I was born 9 days before my sister's 1st bday. In all my Mom had 4 kids in 4 years and 4 months.

Thanks to A*O (at least I think it is A*O), I think of her as Layabout Kate now. I also occasionally imagine what her reaction would be, if William abdicated.

You two are shattering my world...seriously

re: Kate It's a tough one. She was in the press for YEARS as Kate Middleton. I think when she is referred to by her maiden name in the press no slight is intended. Many famous people continue to be referred to by whatever last name they had when they got famous. Even though Beyonce took Jay-Z's last name and had that "Mrs Carter" tour she will forever be Beyonce Knowles. Had Catherine, little DoC, not been dating William so long I think there would be more consistency.

I do think "Duchess Dolittle" is pretty funny & I like her. I do think she is being a little coddled and over protected though. Since William is 3rd in line and she's abusy babymaking, I'll give them another two years. Heck she might pop out a gaggle if the plan keeps working ;-)

I would call you an Irish Twin, Sluce. Two babies in less than 12 months is quite a feat! Let alone having 4 in a tad over 4 years......Wow!!

CP Mary wins hands down in that department, she's what we call "determined."
I am convinced a turkey baster or two were employed for that last set ;-)

Lots of rumors about IVF for CP Mary...I think, at least in Europe and Australia, she gets slagged on more than Kate...

Well, based on extensive research I have done (reading RD), I'd agree with you!
Honestly, ever since you told me it was sarted by a few GR alum, I read it more often.
Lolz, I too am now convinced she's a money hungry, Prada grasping, Jimmy Choo grasping
climber. Ooooh and that she was after Felipe of spain that infamous night at the bar but he turned her down.
you read things a jillion times and you start to believe them, it's like being at a nuremberg rally.
Hard to know the truth though. IMO she has her PR people paying the DM for puff pieces though,
nary a negative word from them.

As for Starmakers... where can I sign up.

Irish twins are born within a year of each other. My womb, vagina, breasts and pretty much everywhere hurts just thinking about it.
