They ended up with rare colour combos - blond hair and brown eyes/brown hair and blue eyes.
I didn't know it was a rare combination - my whole family is mainly blue eyes, dark hair (there are a couple of hazel/green) - like Alice Cooper.
I've just come back from central Europe & so many people there were brown eyed. Makes sense that so many people stared at me/us - I also have quite pale blue eyes but just assumed that they were staring because I was a Fatty McFatfat.
I didn't realise it was rare.

^It's not rare here but we have a large population descended from Irish convicts or famine refugees. My Dad had black hair and blue eyes (although he was blonde as a baby and his older brother looked aboriginal) and my Mum had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Us kids all have light green eyes and various shades of dark brown/black hair.

It's more unusual here to see a blonde with dark eyes. Usually I can tell before someone opens their mouth that they're not locals.

Yeah, we don't have natural blonds with brown eyes, that's our rare.
I was like your dad, very blond as a small child. When I was a teenager I dyed my hair black - and no-one could tell (it was so very dark naturally to start with).
My hair dresser uses 4N while is slightly lighter than my natural colour.

Dark hair/blue eyes is very Irish/Celtic.

    I think she's really cute!

All of my family are dark haired with blue eyes, moved over from Scotland in the 1960's.

Yep, Welsh but also middle European too - my mum is similar, not quite as dark hair, not quite as pale skin.

I've always been partial to the blonde hair/brown eyes combo, it's always so soft and warm looking...or maybe I only find it so appealing because of it's rarity?

I've been racking my brain for years trying to figure out what Carole could do to look better and less squinty and hard. (Besides a paper bag or head transplant) Drastically change the hair, get a good eye lift, burn the stupid hats, I don't know.

I hope so! There's a touch of the Queen, too, though it looks as if she skipped the beady Windsor eyes.

I think George will actually resemble his grandmother Diana more than Charlotte does--looks like it so far, anyway.

That Kensington Instagram has some cute stuff on it. I loved the one of Harry hugging the sedated elephant. Once, long ago, when such things were acceptable in amusement parks, I got to hug a similarly semi-conscious tiger. So sorry in moral terms (I was just a kid eh), but I still would not trade the experience for anything. Purrrrrrr.
