Bruce Jenner Video Captures Entire Crash Bruce Plowed into Both Cars

    BY TMZ STAFF

    EXCLUSIVE

A MTA bus caught the entire Bruce Jenner car crash on video and sources tell TMZ it squarely shows Bruce struck both cars, and the Lexus driver NEVER made contact with the Prius.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... they are in possession of the video. Sources familiar with the bus in question -- which was directly behind the Hummer -- tell TMZ there are cameras mounted in the front, back and sides, and the videos show the entire accident.

Law enforcement will not tell us what's on the video, but sources familiar with the video in question tell us it's clear the Lexus never made contact with the Prius. Bruce hit the Lexus, which propelled it into oncoming traffic and then struck the Hummer. Bruce then continued on and hit the Prius.

We obtained a re-creation of the accident, which was NOT based on the video but which sources tell us accurately reflects what is on the MTA video.

The MTA video is critical ... because Bruce -- and not the Lexus driver who died -- hit the Prius, it makes a more compelling case that he was following too close, which opens the door to a possible vehicular manslaughter prosecution.

So the bus video was behind the hummer, headed towards Bruce. It will be interesting to see, but kudos to TMZ for the recreation.

Best accident recreation ever was the Asian one of Elin Nordegren beating Tiger's ass and chasing him down the street with his own golf club until he crashed into a tree.

I'm sure they did a Kanye West one too. I'll have to go find their youtube channel, I think it was a Taiwanese studio.

If Bruce denied hitting the Prius...

"Bruce Jenner told cops the Lexus driver who was killed in Saturday's crash suddenly, without warning, slammed her brakes in front of him and there was no way he could avoid the crash. Multiple sources tell us ... Bruce couldn't say if the Lexus driver had smashed into the Prius before his SUV struck her car, because it all happened so quickly." TMZ 2/8

That same day, TMZ reports 'Prius may have caused the fatal crash'. Sounds to me like Bruce's story to cops was that the Lexus hit the Prius, but he was unsure whether the Prius was hit before or after he rear-ended the Lexus. On 2/12, lawyer for the Prius tells TMZ about the imprint from Bruce's car. Interesting back and forth considering TMZ's sources. If its either the Prius or Bruce that caused the chain reaction, I'm going with Bruce.

    TMZ 2/11
"A video has surfaced of the fatal car accident involving Bruce Jenner -- a video taken seconds after impact -- and we've learned it could become a critical piece of evidence for law enforcement investigating the accident. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. just obtained the video, which shows the immediate aftermath of the crash. Most important, it shows people who witnessed the chain of events that led to the Lexus Bruce hit veering into oncoming traffic and killing the driver. We're told Sheriff's detectives are on the hunt for the people in the video because, among other things, they might have seen the Prius that was hit by the Lexus. Cops want to know if the Prius was stopped behind a long line of cars waiting for the light to turn green, or whether it illegally stopped for some other purpose. We're told the actions of the Prius and Lexus drivers could have a significant impact on Bruce's culpability for the fatal crash. And we're told the video shows Bruce was NOT being chased by paparazzi ... something Jenner family sources told us the day of the crash"

If the video obtained from the bus is the video TMZ was referring to on 2/11, isn't it interesting that police are 'hunting down' witnesses specifically to know if the Prius was stopped for a legal purpose? Wouldn't they already know? TMZ reported days before that several witnesses at the scene said the Prius was hit by the Lexus. Now there's a video showing that did not happen. Isn't it more likely the cops were trying to find those witnesses Jenner sources claim exist but don't? Bruce lied at the scene about paparazzi, lied to TMZ about being chased by the paps, probably lied to TMZ about the witnesses too.

    Bruce Jenner

Video Shows Bruce Squarely to Blame

    In 'Violent' Crash

2/19/2015 10:49 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

    EXCLUSIVE

Bruce Jenner was squarely at fault in the fatal car crash ... so claim people familiar with the MTA video of the crash.
Law enforcement would not comment on the video, however, others familiar with it tell TMZ it shows the drivers of the other 3 vehicles in the crash did nothing wrong. We're told the video shows the Lexus and the Prius moving at a very slow rate of speed, though it's unclear whether they are accelerating or decelerating. They were in the back of a line of cars stopped for a red light.
As we reported, Bruce told cops at the scene the Lexus driver slammed on her brakes without warning, making it impossible for him to react in time to avoid the crash. We're told the video actually shows the Lexus barely moving -- she did not slam on her brakes -- and Bruce is clearly inattentive, holding his cigarette with one hand and not aware of the traffic in front of him. By the time he realizes he's in peril, he slams on the brakes but it's too late.
We're told the video shows Bruce hit the Lexus "violently" ... rocketing it into the Hummer, killing the Lexus driver. Our sources say the video shows Bruce was clearly traveling at a significant speed given the magnitude of the crash, although cops believe he was not speeding.
Bruce then continued on and hit the Prius, and we're told that collision occurred at almost the exact time the Lexus hit the Hummer, which is why witnesses say they only heard 2 crashes.
Although the video seems to show Bruce and Bruce alone caused the crash, it was still an accident and some of our law enforcement sources think it's unlikely he'll be charged with vehicular manslaughter because the offense is following too closely, something everyone has done.

    Bullshit is right.

Remember when Brandy was sued for wrongful death after causing an accident in CA? Totally different story with very similar facts.

"R&B singer Brandy will not be charged with a crime for a fatal car crash last year, authorities said Friday.
The City Attorney's Office has decided not to file misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges against Brandy Norwood in the case stemming from a Dec. 30, 2006, traffic collision," that office's spokesman Frank Mateljan said in a statement. After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, City prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty of such a charge beyond a reasonable doubt," he said.

The case had been under review by prosecutors for nearly a year.

Brandy's attorney Blair Berk also issued a statement on Friday. It said, in part: "We are extremely pleased that after a more thorough and extensive investigation by authorities ... Brandy Norwood should not be charged with any crime whatsoever relating to the accident back in 2006." The statement added: "These past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion initially caused by the ill-advised and premature press release sent out by the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the police investigation was even finished." She concluded, "Brandy continues to be mindful that she was so fortunate to be uninjured in this accident and there was a life lost that should be remembered."

On Dec. 30, 2006, Brandy rear-ended a 2005 Toyota Corolla while traveling on an L.A. freeway, setting off a chain-reaction crash that involved two other cars. The driver of the Toyota, Awatef Aboudihaj, a 38-year-old mother of two, died the following day from injuries she had sustained.

    Wrongful-Death Lawsuits
Police said the singer, 28, was not distracted or under the influence at the time of the accident. Investigators initially recommended a charge of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, which carries a penalty of up to a year in jail.
No Criminal Charge for Brandy over Fatal Car Crash - Crime & Courts, Brandy : People.com

"After an investigation, the California Highway Patrol recommended that a misdemeanor manslaughter charge be brought against Brandy, but prosecutors opted not to bring a criminal case, citing insufficient evidence."
    [QUOTE]http://www.eonline.com/news/134244/b...er-fatal-crash

The California Highway Patrol recommended today (Jan. 29) that actress-singer Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in a freeway crash that killed a woman motorist last month, a city attorney's spokesman told the Associated Press.

The CHP referred the matter to the city attorney's office for review, said spokesman Nick Velasquez. "The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter," he said. A message seeking comment from Brandy's publicist was not immediately returned.

Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, has publicly expressed condolences to the victim's family, according to her publicist, who previously said Brandy wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

Brandy, 27, was driving a Land Rover on Interstate 405 on Dec. 30 when traffic slowed and her vehicle struck the back of Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, according to a CHP report.

Aboudihaj's car hit another vehicle, slid sideways into the center divider and was then hit by another car, the report said. Aboudihaj died at a hospital from blunt-force injuries, according to the coroner's office.
    Insufficient evidence? Not this time.

So why haven't they charged him if they have A VIDEO. I would love to understand why Brandy was treated so differently than Bruce.

Bruce probably won't even get a slap on the wrist.. Being Rich & Famous seems to be a 'Get/Keep out of Jail/Trouble' free card.

Celebs should be held accountable for their actions, just like the rest of us have to.

They are. Look over court records and you will see that the general public usually gets the same treatment. You just don't hear about those cases.

Agreed. I think he will be.

This guy was given year in jail for rear ending at the same speed as Bruce, also in CA.
