I was thinking that too... New Yorker's seem like they are above the Hollywood celebrity thing... it would almost be 'tacky' (???) to go crazy over a celebrity.... am I right here? Not in a pompous manner either... just that they aren't into celeb worship like LA.
I'd love her to drive into some half-crazed NY Cabbie in her stupid Merc and have him go primal on her ass!
Maybe someone can feed her to the alligators in the sewers!!

Wasn't her last apartment in the village? Didn't it take an eternity to sell that place? Now she wants a place worth more than twice that? Okay, it won't last any longer than any of her other homes, but whatever.

You're right. New Yorkers, and East Coast people in general, don't worship celebrities like some do in California. On the West Coast people might see a celebrity and go crazy, here on the East Coast we'll either ignore them or insult them.

Though most of the celebs that live on the East Coast live there precisely because they will not be treated differently; they're low-key people who want to live relatively normal existences. Britney will never make it without paps on her ass every second, she's far too much of an attention whore
