There’s some belt-tightening going on in the Britney Spears camp, but it’s not because Spears is going broke or was recently told to pay Kevin Federline’s attorneys $375,000.
The reason is that Britney Spears’ conservators and advisors want to make sure that Spears and her two kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, can have everything they need.
“If Britney Spears never goes back to work, there is no reason she and her kids shouldn’t be able to live a very comfortable life with the kind of money she has in the bank,” said a source close to the Spears family.

As for what Spears has in the bank, it’s not as much as what’s been reported. “Those figures of $100 million or more were so off the mark,” a Spears source told OK! magazine. Best estimates for her net worth are in the $40 million range, according to several people with knowledge of Spears’ finances.
The cutbacks in spending are widespread, according to OK!, who estimates that she’ll go from a “budget” of $100,000 a month on entertainment and vacations to 10 percent of that; her $16,000-a-month clothing allowance will get halved; and as of April 1, Spears will let go of her $30,000-a-month Malibu home she hasn’t been to in months.
“It’s taken a huge team to bring some normalcy out of the chaos that existed,” the source told the magazine. “This team will have to be in place for years.”

Jamie Lynn Spears Seeking Professional Help For Emotional Issues. Shocking.

Jamie Lynn Spears is seeking professional help for her emotional issues. The pregnant 16-year-old sister of Britney is reportedly seeing a therapist since January at her mother Lynne's request.
A source tells the National Enquirer, "Lynne and [dad] Jamie Spears are both concentrating on Britney now. Jamie Lynn isn't the center of attention, and she's taking care of herself in Kentwood."
"She's frightened about being a new mom and isn't sure she knows what to do once the baby arrives. Her experience is limited to a few visits with her nephews, and she lacks the confidence that she'll be a good mom."
The "Zoey 101" star is also allegedly taking parenting classes at a pregnancy center.
Meanwhile, reports surface that Jamie Lynn and baby daddy Casey Aldridge are currently "on the outs." They have not officially split but the actress feels she needs time off from Aldridge.

Here's another thought: Instead of spending $30,000 + buying a nursery for Jamie Lynn's bastard kid, she could set that money aside for her own two children. Let Jamie Lynn provide for her kid and Britney provide for Sean and Jayden.

A new report set for this week's Life & Style notes that since an Oct. 7 sushi dinner in Beverly Hills, the Spears sisters haven’t been spotted together. And absence has not made their hearts grow fonder, according to a family insider, cited by the magazine. In fact, the two recently got into a huge blowout over the phone. The topic: Jamie's shocking pregnancy.

Although 16-year-old Jamie Lynn let the world in on her baby secret back in December, the insider says that Britney, who had been in a haze before recently starting medication to combat her mental illness, is just starting to grasp the news. And she isn’t happy about it.

Jamie Lynn didn't call Britney to tell her the news herself, instead letting her big sister find out through the media. “Now that her medicaiton is starting to work, it’s like a fog has lifted,” the insider explains. “And Britney’s got a lot of hurt feelings," the insider told the magazine.

Things came to a boiling point during the sisters’ phone call, which the insider says occurred around March 3. “Britney asked Jamie Lynn the sex of the baby,” the insider says. “But Jamie Lynn wouldn’t tell her. She said she isn’t planning on telling anyone at this point.”

Britney Spears may be doing a lot less aimless driving now that her father, Jamie, has been granted permission to sell some of her cars.
Dad was awarded the power to "sell or dispose of" an undisclosed number of her seven cars because they were proving too expensive to run.
According to court documents, lawyers for Jamie Spears claimed that sale of "a certain of" her cars "will save substantial expense to the conservatorship estate."
Earlier this week, it was reported that Jamie has taken to doing a - non-court ordered - knicker check before his daughter leaves the house in a bit to prevent any more intimate photo-ops.
