Alot of people think the 'Bi-polar' stuff is just bullshit, and that if she does have mental problems, it is linked more to her drug use than anything else. Also alot of people do not think that any kind of mental health issue is mutually exclusive to being a twat, stupid, famewhorish, spoiled, irresponsible, etc. etc. etc.. Her behavior is indicative of alot of things..not just a mental illness. To say 'oh she is mentally ill(and of course it is something that HAS to have a strong biological/medical component, like manic-depression..not something that is personality based like sociopathy or a Personality Disorder, this way it is all the fault of 'the chemicals misfiring') is just oh too convenient an excuse nowadays. Not buying it.

It is really obvious that she is fucked up, to say it is some kind of chemically related 'mental illness' is NOT obvious to me. Not at all. Sorry.

I guess I say it's obvious (for me at least) because I knew two people in college who wer bi-polar and their manic episodes (while not as extreme) were completely reminiscent. The poor hygiene, the not dealing with reality....one friend who used to wear her extensions and weaves would come out, all high, withher weave looking worse than Britney's. I mean, three different colors, half done, patchy, and then would demand that we see how gorgeous it was.

I also say mental illness because I know someone who worked with her and would recount how she needed the meds to function normally, and that many people in the business knew this.

but it's about how you perceive things, so I can see how you may not see it as mental illnes.

I think a mental illness of some kind may be a component. But I think it is all part of a toxic stew including her not being particularly bright, having bad parenting, not having anything like a normal childhood, drug use, etc. etc. and maybe some kind of mental illness exacerbated by drug use(could be any kind of thing, including misuse/abuse of RX meds). Also given that many insiders have talked of drug issues, and the fact that the court found she is a habitual drug user/abuser, I really have to question whether what might appear to mimic bipolar disorder, might actually be some kind ofpersonality disorder combined with drug use, and the particular conditions of her circumstances(tons of enabling people, nobody to say NO!, lots of money on hand, not having to face consequences, etc.).

The courts have found her to be a habitual drug user, she has been to rehab, etc. There is all kinds of validation for this. Why the (ever popular) Bi-polar now? Nothing to support a history of it. I think this would have been leaked in a big way before now. It seems to be more of a 'planted' plotline to me, than anything else. Better to be seen as 'bipolar'(a chemical disorder) rather than as a spoiled drug addict twat.

I guess I think that her people/enablers are just trying to 'spin' the trainwreck now.

That is exactly why I dont buy the -mental illness- crap. If she was, then it would have been known by now. The only thing we DO know, is that a judge found her to be a habitual drug user and abuser. I completely agree also. She just likes attention and her life is getting out of control because of her shitty choices. With enough money and no one to give you a sense of reality anyone can devolve into a crazy existence. Doesn't equal mental illness. Moreover, everything she does is calculated to give her the maximum attention and exposure possible. She does it on purpose. She could rein it in, she just doesn't want to and until she does no one can give her enough reason to.
