Yes, her first nannies seemed to be proper nurses who carried the babies while she was on vacation etc. But after a while, guess it was more fun to find "nannies" for those all important drinking and clothes swap parties.

Has anyone here actually known a nanny? Their job isn't to raise the children. The parents are the ones who make the decisions about what the children eat, when they eat, how often they bathe, what they wear, what toys they should play with, who they can play with, etc. Why are we blaming the nanny here?

Exactly!
Twitters has SHIT taste in husbands, friends, and clothes. Why the hell would anyone think she picks her nannies any better?
I feel quite sure this nanny was some random she met and hired on a whim. The "nanny" most likely had no clue what a real nanny does, and probably knew her job would be over if she crossed Twitney anyway.

I have a nanny and every moring and night she says to my kids "brush your teeth already?." (she is Indonesian and her english is not very good.)
I really would have thought a nanny would have noticed teeth, especially if it was obvious that Brit wasn't really paying much attention. Unless there was a huge turnover of nannies and every-one thought every-one else was doing it.
I believe depending on your type of teeth some kids who go to bed with a bottle can get bad decay even if they brush their teeth 2 times a day - because the milk will be there all night perhaps?
As for constipation - happened to my youngest son, he ate the same as every-one else actually probably more fruit than my daughter - some kids just need a bit of help in that area. (via prunes, etc).
I do think Britney is an uninterested mother, I was a young mum - with no clue, but I read books and worked it out. Lets hope she works it out she really needs to dissapear for a year or 2 and get her act together. If she did her come back would still be successful.

I imagine she did not hire the most professional of nannies, she probably wanted girls she could party with. If you ever watch Kurt and Courtney and see the nanny they had... let's just say she didn't come from an agency! I think Britney is so insecure that any nanny with an ounce of sense would be seen as competition and get fired immediately.

You just reminded me of an article I read on Britney a while back. I think it was one of Britney's former employees who said that Britney hired her employees based on what they looked like and they become her 'friends' rather than her employees.
Case in point; Alli Simms, Shannon Funk and the other girl before those two.

NoNoRehab - i agree with you. While a nanny is a child carer, it's the parents responsibility to raise their kids - often too many celebs dump their kids on the nanny and then wonder why their kids turn out to be brats.
As for the nannies shame on them for selling their stories - whatever happened to employee descretion? As for Bratney she should make sure every employee of hers signs a confidentiality agreement.
I don't think the nannies are to blame for the children having bad teeth - who knows maybe they did tell Bratney to look after her kids better. But then again, it's hard for an employee to tell their employer what to do. If the nannies were that unhappy then they should have quite in the first week.

I think some mothers (esp ones like Britney who couldn't care less anyway) think the nanny is going to bring up the kid for them, lock, stock and barrel and all they have to do is pay the bills and show up at their birthday parties.
My mother is a nanny and she's had to go on and on to a mother to give her money to go and buy the kid some new socks and shoes `cos her ones were long outgrown and crushing her tiny foot-bones.
The mother eventually handed over some cash and it was left to nanny to take the kid shopping or I guess she'd still be waiting for new footwear.
Needless to say the mother has a wardrobe full of $500 designer shoes herself.............

According to various articles Britney doesn't keep any nanny for long. Once the kids become attached to the nanny because of course Britney isn't around, Britney gets all jealous and fires them. And since the split with K-Fed she started hiring nannies that were her age with no experience just so she'd have a "friend," but once those "nannies" started actually caring for the kids and weren't that interested in going out clubbing at all hours and drinking with Britney anymore, they got fired.
I feel really badly for those boys. I just read a book about serial killers and seriously - one of the theories is that serial killers like Ted Bundy get that way when in the first five years they don't get continous love or care and get passed around or neglected so they don't bond with anybody.

^^^ Yeah, my mother's experienced that when the kid goes running to her and not bio-mum when something's wrong. Well, them's the breaks. You can't force the kid to spend all its time with someone else and at the same time not bond with that person!

Oh, sure! If you were some vip assistant, for example some Brangelina's nanny, Mariah Carey's esthetician or Valentino's housekeeper would you really go up to them and tell them what to do, how to wax and where to put a lamp because there is no enough light?!! You wouldn't want to lose your job!
If you're Britney's nanny, would you make an objection about how she has to raise HER OWN children (!!!) or would you rather just doing your job and benefit of the payday (this is basically what this woman did)?
Britney is very fickle at the momen and the nanny didn't want to get served... until Britney fucked her anyway!
Every minor assistant, neighbour, former schoolteacher, milkman or whatever has a story to sell once in a while... so original!

Britney strikes me as the sort of person who wanted to have a baby doll, not a real baby. I think she loved being pregnant and having a baby for a few months and then all of a sudden the work part kept kicking in and she lost all interest. She realized they aren't as cute as they look and they are loud and demanding and decided she would rather go clubbing instead. If she wasn't famous these babies would have been shipped off to Grandma's house where they would be raised for the next 17 years til they went off and got someone pregnant.

I have to disagree with the women who are saying it isn't the nannies job to make sure they brush their teeth, eat proper, etc. It sure as hell is, otherwise you aren't nannies you are babysitters. Babysitters don't interfere and only "help" out the mom and maybe play with the kids when mom and dad aren't around. Nannies are more than babysitters. I would expect my nanny to make sure my children brushed their teeth even if I didn't tell her to, as it is common sense. If I was a nanny then when I was watching them, there wouldn't be junk food unless mom directly interferred and said it was O.K. Since Britney is never around I'm sure the nanny would have lots of time to make sure they ate correctly etc. However what she hires are not nannies, they have no training and they are babysitters.
