I don't know, if you were the nanny of the mega-wealthy, would you be telling your employer what to do or not do? And like someone else already mentioned, Britney probably didn't hire the kind of nannies that would stand up to her and tell her what a horrible parent she is. She's surrounded herself with people who let her do whatever she wants no matter how stupid, so this wouldn't be any different.

This nanny it sounds like took care of the kids for only a very short time. The damage to to the teeth was already there and tooth decay can't be reversible with brushing.

thank god you said it. i totally agree with you. here lately i have been thinking of the better for the sake of the children and it seems that i have been praising britney but i am not i just wish the best for her and the kids. she was raised in a different situation than the rest of us. she has had no real teenage years. every time i try and think of the best for her i think of her song Lucky and i think it explains it all. ppl just want to get at her or be around her for her money and that has to be lonely and scary.

God we have some ignorant people in this thread. I used to be a nanny. You know what a nanny's "fucking job" is? To provide extra care and help out when the parents need it. Not to RAISE YOUR KIDS. NANNIES AREN'T MOTHERS! We're not a substitute for the kid's mother and anyone who thinks a nanny could obviously knows nothing about kids. We may love the kids but we're a freakin' employee!

You know whose "fucking job" it is to give a kid dental and medical care, love, food, etc. on a daily basis? The PARENTS.

BRITNEY chose to have those kids. At the end of the day it's her job to take care of them, not some employee's. Here's a thought: why doesn't Britney do her fucking job?

No, SHE made that decision. She cut out of her life anybody (like family) who would actually help her and say no to her without caring about money.

And please. Britney became famous at age 17. SEVENTEEN! Sure she did the Mickey Mouse Club before than but none of those kids became famous because of that. No one knew who she was until "Baby One More Time" came out when she was again - 17!

I wish people would stop the "boo hoo she was a child star she never had a chance" bullshit. She wasn't famous as a kid. And even if that was true (which it's not) it's NO EXCUSE. Shirley Temple was a superstar from when she 3 years old, worked every day of her childhood practically, and she turned into a pretty decent human being.

What was so terrible about her upbringing anyway? Exactly what gives her an EXCUSE to neglect and abuse her own kids? Because her mommy had go on the Mickey Mouse Club for a year or whatever? Boo fucking hoo.

Christina Aguilera not only did the same show and had the same music success at the same time, but she came pre-fame from a much worse childhood (with an abusive dad). And she actually acts like an adult, has a career, a happy marriage and family.

If Twitney wants her teenage years so badly, then she shouldn't have gotten married and had kids. That was her choice and now she has to suck it up and deal with it. Once you become a parent it is no longer all about what you want or missed out on.

She has the resources for good home help AND only has the kids three days a week, so she has more free time than most single mothers. There are no excuses for her not doing a better job as a parent.

I think she just doesn't give a shit.

I don't get how people can blame her negligence on her lost teenage years and other bollocks. Most pregnant women I have known, at least picked up a couple of books on child rearing..

Really, if a person feels so damned hard done by in regards to their childhood/adolescence don't fricken get married and have kids. Sorry, I think she's without excuse. I know people who have grown up in much worse scenarios who manage to pull it together and not be a negligent arse of a parent.

I imagine she did not hire the most professional of nannies, she probably wanted girls she could party with. If you ever watch Kurt and Courtney and see the nanny they had... let's just say she didn't come from an agency! I think Britney is so insecure that any nanny with an ounce of sense would be seen as competition and get fired immediately.
