a part of me looks at her and sees a sad, lonely, scared little girl. this a perfect example of how hollywood can fuck with your mind. its like she is really mentally handicapped due to her early success/being a money machine for so many people. on the one hand, how can we expect her to be normal? she is clearly calling out for help

Of course the drugs and drinking are a big part of the problem, but if you take them away you will still have one crazy fucked up mess. I wish the judge would have ordered a psych evaluation for both parents.

That article/laundry list was a hard read. Kids shouldn't have to grow up with parents who aren't capable of putting them first.

From my experience not everyone gets meth mouth, though the chances are high that you will. I used it off and on over a pretty long 15 years as a party drug and then daily for almost a year, and my teeth are still in good shape. But I have always been really anal about brushing and flossing, especially when I was high, and always drank lots of liquids too.

I think Britney dabbled in meth as well as other drugs, but I don't think she used it solely or habitually. I only think this because her body guard said she would sleep until one or two in the afternoon, and as anyone who has done meth knows, sleeping is rarely an option for many days.

Yes, and I bet that some of the ones that did become messed up would have grown into fucked-up adults even if they weren't child stars.

Thanks Crackho. I'm totally amazed anyone can get off of that shit. I had to take care of a guy the other day who was in prision. About 5 years ago he had both hands blown off in a meth kitchen. He lost half of his hair and has scaring all over his face. It made me sick to my stomach to see what he did to himself at such a young age. He said it took a few years in prision for him to turn it around. I can't even imagine. Hats off to you too for what must have been a huge struggle.

I guess when you have had enough, you have had enough. On July 31 it has been 7 years. I go to meetings all the time, and 5 years ago help to start CMA (crystal meth anonymous) here in DC. Meth is awful here in the gay community.

if any of this is true, it is incredibly sad and dissapointing. I remember several years ago there was an MTV: Diary of Britney Spears. This was filmed when she was still with justin and showed her everyday life with her family, friends etc.

It is very sad to see what has happened to her. She used to seem happy, full of energy and she loved her family and was so close to them. Now, it seems like she doesn't care about anyone but herself.

I have 2 small children, like this idiot. And when I step back and really look at this, and read this article (and I tend to believe most of it) and see how she is acting in public, etc---I start to get ANGRY. Reason? She has NANNIES, she doesn't FEED HER KIDS, she doesn't CLEAN HER HOUSE, she doesn't GROCERY SHOP unless she WANTS to, she probably doesn't bathe them, and I'm going to bet that she has never even seen a washer or dryer. WHAT THE FUCK IS HER PROBLEM???

She never even sees her kids unless she is being photographed on Robertson, because apparently if she is home w/them, and they start to cry she just hands them off to someone else!! SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM AT ALL!!!!!!!! She's NOT ACCOUNTABLE!

I do all of the things that I have listed and much much more EVERYDAY (and I'm sure alot of other people out there do too) and she has the nerve to act like SHE IS THE VICTIM?? She's miserable??? What is she talking about?? HOW DARE SHE?


God I want to slap her silly.....slap that weave right off. I said earlier that this was fucking sad, and I meant it--for the BOYS, but she needs a serious fucking help and a wake up call SOON. SHE will never get my sympathy.

I totally agree with you. I dont even have kids but I'm with you. I started out on her side, and the more that comes out, the more I just get ANGRY at this stupid girl.

I found a very compelling argument on ONTD about how Jaden has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and I researched it myself and compared pictures and I have to agree. And that just makes me LIVID.

I'm as angry at Britney as I am at her bodyguards and nannys. Its great that this guy is coming forward now, but if he was a REAL man he would have done so long ago. Or what I would have done: When something occured over-the-line, I'd have said, hey Brit, I'm going to run and get you lunch. And I'd have gone straight to the police station and come back with some police to WITNESS that shit and get those boys taken away RIGHT THEN.

Or when she was OD'ing, screw trying to find a place to put in the detox line, take her ass to the hospital, push the envelope, get her some help. Performing at the House of Blues is the LEAST DAMN IMPORTANT THING in that situation.

None of these people have the sense God gave a doorknob or the ethics god gave an ambulence chaser. They are all as stupid and amoral as she is.

The fact that she has a full staff staying there, turning a blind eye amid the chaos makes the whole situation worse. Thats at least 5 people who saw this shit and chose to do nothing.

Some grow up to be balanced like Jodie Foster. Most have a whole series of problems, even if they are not publicized. The Screen Actors' Guild has done some interesting studies on it, and there was a documentary on TV a while ago with a number of former child stars talking about issues they faced/face, many of whom are not household names.

It's difficult for anyone, child or adult, to be famous and then suddenly...not be. That's an emotional minefield for anyone, but especially children who are the least equipped to handle it. And some also have severe problems with their parents, many of whom manage their careers and despite laws to prevent exploitation, profit heavily from their child's labour.
