*sigh* It's excruciating to hear her expressing her "creative side" when she's as deep as a puddle.
And I don't think anyone has ever accused her of being too thin. Ever.

LYRICS OF PIECE OF ME
I'm Miss American Dream, since I was seventeen
Don't matter if I step on the scene, or slip away to the Philippines
They still gon' put pictures of my derričre in the magazines
You want a piece of me? You want a piece of me?
I'm Miss Bad Karma, another day, another drama
Guess I can't see no harm in workin' and bein' a mama
And with a kid on my arm, I'm still an exception to L.A.
You want a piece of me?
I'm Mrs. Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous (you want a piece of me?)
I'm Mrs. 'Oh my God, that Britney's shameless!' (you want a piece of me?)
I'm Mrs. 'Extra, Extra! This just in' (you want a piece of me?)
I'm Mrs. 'She's too big, now she's too thin' (you want a piece of me?)
I'm Mrs. 'You want a piece of me?', [you] tryin' to piss me off?
Well get in line with the paparazzi, whose flippin' me off
Hopin' --- end up settlin' in court
Now are you sure you want a piece of me?
I'm Mrs. Most Likely to Get on the TV for strippin' on the streets
When getting the groceries, no, for real, are you kidding me?
--- in the industry, I mean, please, do you want a piece of me?
I'm Miss American Dream, since I was seventeen
Don't matter if I step on the scene, or slip away to the Philippines
They still gon' put pictures of my derričre in the magazines
You want a piece of me? You want a piece-a piece of me?
You want a piece of me?
I'm Mrs. Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous (you want a piece of me?)
I'm Mrs. 'Oh my God, that Britney's shameless!' (you want a piece of me?)
I'm Mrs. 'Extra, Extra! This just in' (you want a piece of me?)

I can't stop laughing at that CRAPTACULAR song. The lyrics are horrible and SHE is horrible, and heaven knows as bad as they are, she didn't write it, either.
Can't she just go away? PLEASE? PLEASE????!!!!

I sooooo want her to go on the Today Show and perform live again. I have only ever seen her try to perform live 3 times, twice on Today and she was soooo bad each time. They of course said she had been suffering from a sore throat. Isn't it amazing that this happens each time she has to perform live? Wasn't there a blind about some young female singer who was about to be found put that she couldn't sing and someone else did the vocals on her cds?
YouTube - Britney Spears Lucky live vocals Today Show link to her Lucky performance live - she sucks!

^It wouldn't surprise me.
I remember when she came out with her first CD, and she appeared on GMA and Charlie Gibson introduced her and could hardly contain his contempt (and I love Charlie, and this made me love him even more). She "sang" From the Bottom of My Broken Heart, and it was awful. I don't even think she was lipsynching---she was off-key and off-kilter and horrendous. And when she was done, Charlie was like, "Yeah, okay, thanks."

She's that awkward joke that you try to tell, that you THINK is funny... But once you tell it, everyone around you is completely silent and uncomfortably looking at the other people around them, rubbing their arm to try and comfort their poor little selves.

Most of Toxic was sung by UK singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis. She sang a dance-type song called "Touch Me" *eta: and another called "Come On and Get My Love"* that was popular on the radio in the early '90s. Anyhow, Toxic is so overproduced it's hard to tell, but anyways, I think they hardly used any of Britney's "vocals" for it.
*wait I just looked it up on Wikipedia and it says she wrote Toxic, not that she sang it. But I could have sworn it sounded like her voice.
It also says she recorded the demo for it. I say they used her vocals for the chorus, which really sounds like her voice, not Britney.
