    That's awesome news!

I remember Maria Shriver had that with I believe her last child and was hospitalized for weeks.

I once had severe puking attacks for 29 days and nights, my personal record. I can't imagine having to bear that for 9 months. The thought makes me want to rip out my womb and burn it.

Congrats to them! I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly. It would suck to feel the need to announce before the second trimester, even.

in her case it was probably a severe allergic reaction to the governator's cheating spunk.

I had a co-worker, now retired, who said she was sick for the full 9 months during both her pregnancies! I can't even begin to imagine that.

^^While I was doing my research on the matter today, I read that some women puke from the day they conceive until one day after the kid pops out. Holy crap. That's like poisoning or something.

When I was nauseous for a month, I literally wanted to kill myself to make it stop.

... the more I read about pregnancy, the less it seems a "miracle of nature" and the more it appears a parasitic infection...

Its exactly like Aliens. If you don't really REALLY want to do it, you probably shouldn't. It can be hell if you're not happy about it.

The news just said the same thing as McJag, that it is more common with multiples as well as with girls. Then they said if it is multiples, they may be asked to make a decision as to which is born first for the succession issues. Very interesting. Now that gender is not an issue, I say let nature take its course.

She's totally doing this for a weight watchers deal.

I hope things go well for her. I don't have any experience (DH and I haven't conceived and decided early on not to do fertility treatments as we married in our 30s), but worked closely with a woman who had horrible morning sickness -- to the extent that when it hit, like in the breakroom at the office, it was like projectile vomiting; she couldn't hold it long enough to hit the restroom. Felt so bad for her, having to deal with that with each of her pregnancies, and for the duration. Read up on the condition today, and it sounds dangerous.
