Just a sad, sad situation from start to finish. Poor girl.
I just read that apparently this funeral had a Sweet 16 theme.
A themed funeral.

With a family like this - on both sides! - this poor girl never stood a chance. It's so sad that they can't put their differences aside for one day to honour her memory.
I'm confused. I read the article, which killed me. Why did they hold a funeral with a Sweet Sixteen theme? She was 22 years old. What is up with the Sweet Sixteen theme and what does that even mean? Was the church filled with pink balloons or something?
Maybe both her parents were high as hell at that time and she never had one!!

The more i read of this mess the more i think this poor child is much better off dead and buried than living this fucked up life...may she rest in peace, she probably knew it ...
I think the Sweet Sixteen theme was meant to be for the wake or for a memorial party not for the actual funeral (maybe.) I actually think Leolah might have a point (although inappropriately expressed) that the guests should not be asked to contribute to Pat's 'charity' instead of flowers. There is a lot of funny business going on - all to do with Whitney's poisoned pot of gold of course.
I have some famous friends and I have mostly not famous friends.
^^^ Oh, I absolutely agree with you. The name of the charity is so misleading because only pretty close family members would know her first name is Marion, which I've never seen her use. Who the hell is she to make that decision (she's not even a blood relative, and it has been reported over and over that Marion P (Pat Houston) and Bobbi Kristina had a falling out some time ago over HER inheritance and they weren't even speaking at the time of Bobbi Kristina's "accident") and why wasn't the girl's FATHER involved in that choice?? I think a much better alternative would be to pick an unbiased brain injury charity, or even a drug rehab charity for young people, not something where only Aunt Pat would benefit from the inpouring of money and be the only one that controls it.
I'm confused why everybody is questioning where Bobbi Kristina's inheritance will end up. I thought it was determined long ago that Whitney put in her will that her mother would be the backup inheritor if Bobbi Kristina died? Or did I misunderstand that whole thing?
^^ I thought so too about the money. I guess they're talking about the funds from the trust that had already been released to Bobbi.
That Houston family is so low brow, and yet they talk trash about Bobby's family.I
know that cousin Dionne was talking about boycotting the 'themed' funeral. Bobby should have just taken over the decision making - although I'm sure his mind is not up to planning his daughter's funeral.
The money goes back to Cissy where Pat will do her damnedest to get that money.

There are reports that an "aunt" was thrown out of the clusterfuck, er, I mean funeral. Apart from anything else it's just so tacky and undignified. Vultures, the lot of 'em.

So they want everyone to give money to a foundation that helps trouble teenagers, so why in the hell didn't help Bobbi Kristina? Sounds like a big fail of a foundation if they can't help one of their own. Or maybe it's all just a big old fraud. It just makes me sick. And yes, people do some fucked up stuff at funerals. I won't even get into what happened at my daughter's. Some people jus don't t get how wrong their behavior can be when people are grieving. I feel for her family that has to put up with that.
I remember reading the same on multiple sites --- that Dionne was not seen or photographed anywhere near the funeral home, and they were definitely looking for all the big names that attended. I STILL don't get a Sweet Sixteen theme when she was 22yo. Or a theme at all! Is this a thing now?
I swear I've read this over and over too, but maybe mostroop is right that they're going to fight over the money already released to her. I keep seeing the figure $20M had already been released but I thought Whitney's whole estate was only $20M-$30M. Whitney was smart enough to make it tiered so she'd only get smaller amounts over a long period of time (or was smart enough to listen to her estate planner, whatever), but I hope she was able to include any payout would go back to Whitney's estate. I don't even know if they could do that though because it was now Bobbi Kristina's money and technically her father is her next of kin. I doubt even the most thorough wills put in clauses about 22yo young adults dying. And I doubt Bobbi Kristina had a will, being so young. So, so sad.
This is the Aunt Leolah that rollo talked about unthread. They have witnesses that saw her being thrown out, trying to be calmed (who also escorted her out) by Tyler Perry, her bitching to the press outside of the funeral and then she also bitched about it on FB, or some other social media. I agree with rollo that Aunt Leolah was right and dead on about Aunt Pat choosing to ask in lieu of flowers, donate to my shady charity instead, but decided to interrupt the poor girl's funeral to do so was completely inappropriate and unnecessary.
Whoever collects this cursed money will have bad fortune.
^^ Which money are you talking about, Bobbi Kristina's or the phoney charity?
