She was born in Australia (with a birdseye view of Terri's hoohah thanks to Steve's camcorder) so she can't be president of the USA. I bet you are all heartbroken.

Yes we are, and I don't think we'll ever be the same. As much as it hurts, you can keep her over there.

It is interesting that (at last!!!) public opinion in Oz is turning against the Irwin Inc travelling circus and people are openly questioning Terri's motives and behaviour. There's a reason why Bindi is pimped out to the Americans all the time - she's really not that popular here and never was apart from during the grief-fest immediately after Steve's death. Most people here take a very skeptical view of the Irwin bullshit and their alleged 'conservation' work. The only think Terri is conserving is her bank balance.

^Until I came to GR, I had no idea how people felt about the Irwins. Was Steve well liked, or was his ideas for conservation a farce as well?

People thought he was a bit of a boofhead really. Well meaning but not very bright. All the TV and other 'croc hunter' bullshit was initially organised by his so-called business manager(s) and he was too dumb to see how he was being manipulated. Add in the voracious and ambitious Terri (the real power behind the throne IMO) and the legend was born. He really wasn't the huge celebrity here that he became overseas.

Too much media attention given to children isn't good for them. She will grow up starving for more and when she isn't given that attention, she'll do crazy things or fall into a depression.

Put the child in a school with peers so she can live a little and develop instead of being with adults all the time. She's too impressionable and she says what she thinks is supposed to be said. She seems like her mother's puppet/

Totally agree. It's appalling that Bindi hasn't been allowed to go to her local school and mix with the local kids, make friends and generally grow up 'normally' especially since losing her father. I'm not a fan of home schooling anyway (different discussion) but I think it's even more important for 'celeb' kids to experience at least some kind of normality instead of being cocooned in a completely artificial environment surrounded only by adults. I'm afraid that in Bindi's case it's already too late. Seeing how precocious and obnoxious she is she would be absolutely shredded at school now. Go Terri.

Steve was like an over actor but in real life. When he'd behave normally (like on Andrew Dentons show) he seemed almost human, but the kid thinks thats how you have to be to get peoples attention. Well maybe you do, but it comes with ridicule and incredibility as you seem just that little bit stupid carrying on about being president of Australia. Delusions of grandeur or what? Who lets her say this shit? Its all very well to have dreams but not to tell the whole nation. Did she mean President of a country of her choice, or just president of a company that proffesses to conserve animals, but really just lines its own pockets, because that is much more fulfilling, hearing ka-ching, than hearing a crocodile ripping a chickens head off with part of your own arm attached.
    Jack I swear.

She scares me. But I do feel sorry for her, she's been pimped out to the media since she was a baby and not had a normal childhood.

Every time I see that ugly lil face I think a) potential for 'Ugly Bindi' and b) some psychologist is going to buy his summer house off the fees he'll get from her when she's a very messed up adult.
