^ hey there Clubber, long time no see.

Re her enunciation problems, I do always wonder if those giant new choppers of hers are a factor. I was never super aware of her career but don't remember it being an issue back in her heyday.

Not sure about that. How many people even have L on their radar any longer? Aside from her crazy fans, crazy haters, and the gossipers like GR?

Or great ideas for artists who are popular & want to strike while the iron is hot.

The iron (not that it gets used) is very cold.

Leann's version of I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas will never top Gayla Peevy.

Come on now, Leann is no where near the level of Babs or Elvis. They were never has beens. They could still sell out stadiums and Lean can't sell out a 1,200 seat casino.

Elvis made a famous comeback in 1968. It's a huge part of his legend. He had been considered over for years, a totes lame has been who made b movies for most of the swinging 60's. The British invasion made him irrelevant for a long time. Then he did his Christmas tv special and, viola- he was back on top.

Not that Leann is Elvis, but that doesn't really need to be pointed out

But even when Elvis was "over" he could have announced a tour and sold out. His music may not have been popular but he still had a solid fan base.

God has a way of being really funny sometimes #timingiseverything

I think sluce is correct and is ingratiating her way into Wilbur's life with the goal of a partnership of some sort business-wise. Him "managing" her but 100% on her terms only.

I also think Leann has used this little "Fun times with daddy and the family!! I love my daddy Wilbur and we have always had such a strong, loving relationship, I adore the man!" trip for PR, to "prove Missy on Twitter" WRONG and to manipulate her way back into Wilbur's world after a decade plus of basically shunning him. She may actually realize her career has zero hope at this point and she thinks she can get back her old fanbase who were a fan of the teen yodeler and her daddy as a team and that Wilbur DID have a knack for picking shit that turned out to be hits for her.

As long as she continues to be distracted by the all-consuming job of keeping the dude she cheated to be with from doing the same to her, that career isn't going anywhere. No matter who her manager is.

Can daddy force Ed to sit front row center at every practice and concert where she can see him? Cause that's what it's gonna take. At minimum.

I don't know if he had much to do with her career, other than stealing a lot of money from her. He made himself her manager when he had no experience and then hired a real manager to do the job. Of course, he charged her double the going rate for his services. Then he charged her for being a record producer even though he had no experience at that and Curb would never let someone inexperienced produce her records. He may have learned as he went from other people who were actually qualified. No one in Nashville works as manager and producer because they each require different skill sets and talents and time, but there was money to be made. He signed a contact with his then mistress to provide transport for Leann and her band on tour, except her company rented trucks designed to transport cattle or horses. Her real manager found out and had the contract voided, but for a while she traveled in trucks with no bathrooms or kitchens when she was selling millions. He booked her in so many venues that she eventually passed out onstage. I think he knew her career might not last and he wanted as much money as possible before it ended. Then he dumped the wife for a trophy wife half his age as soon as the money rolled in.

It can either help or hurt to release at Christmas. People may buy them as stocking stuffers (although sales are mostly via download these days and you can't wrap that) - OR - people may be busy spending all their money on presents and not see purchasing her album as that high on their list of things to buy. I gave it a listen and I thought it was too long. I forwarded through 3 times. I do not know how long the original is so it may just be the song.

Wewe should have taken a page out of the book from "former singer-turned reality t.v. star" Jessica Simpson. She released a Christmas Album and promoted the shit out of it before there was twitter with appearances at Rockerfeller Center AND her own prime time Christmas Special with hubby #1. That helped her sell nearly 2 million copies of her ReJoyce album even though the woman's singing talent is on the same level as Britney Spears. Wewe needs to start acting like she really wants a music career. Until that happens I don't think any will care or buy her music like they did back in the good old days.

I don't know why I clicked on that video, but I think that's the first time I've ever heard Jessica sing. She is really awful. I could understand her though.
