Not her only reason but IMO the big fat reason that started this train wreck and the one she won't admit to.

And to clarify, when I said "the end was inevitable" I meant the end of the metaphorical high. Although I think the relationship will end too, eventually.

Her eyebrows used to be perfect, she messed them up! Did she Botox her brow?

I think if all Leann cared about was looks, she would have traded Eddie in for a younger, hotter model. For whatever reason, she is obsessed with him.

At this point I think she's more obsessed with Brandi than with her POS unemployed husband.

At the most, it just seems like dialing down the crazy would allow her to focus to the point where maybe she could actually start selling out the casino bookings. I can't personally imagine her ever being a big star again though...what do you all think? Who is another star, for reference, who has had a similar trajectory and accomplished this?
I know it's an odd comparison, but her career reminds me of Amy Grant's. She was the darling of Christian music at a young age and had some pop big hits in the early and mid 90s before her sales began to slide. Then she had an affair with a married man, Vince Gill. It was a huge scandal in the Christian world. Some Christian stations stopped playing her songs and Christian stores refused to sell her albums. Her record company also dropped her after 20 years. Amy claimed it wasn't an affair because they never had sex-ha!-and they eventually left there spouses to be together. Their were children involved in both marriages.

I think the reason Amy was able to rebuild her career, was because she was genuinely sincere in acknowledging the hurt she had caused and never antagonized the ex. In fact, his ex said Amy was the one who handled herself the best in the whole mess, if you can believe that. She also wasn't insane. She wasn't out stalking his ex and copying his ex's bikini choices and then making sure the world knew she was doing it. She asked Vince's daughter if their was anything she could do to make her life less miserable and his daughter asked her not to hang all over her Dad around her because it creeped her out, so she didn't. A far cry from exploiting someone's young children for photo ops. I remember her describing breaking up someone's family as borrowing the family car, smashing it in a wreck, then leaving it in the driveway as though nothing had happened.

She signed with a new label and they rereleased remastered versions of her old albums. She still sells out 4-5000 seat venues and her last Christian album sold 3x what Spitfire did without much promotion, a good number for that genre and this was despite the fact that her voice is giving out. A hymns album sold 500,000 copies a couple years after the divorce. She did a tour with another popular Christian artist that sold out several stadiums. She does a series of sold out Christmas shows in Nashville every year. That's the other thing-she shows up for concerts, does 2 hours and is usually not drunk. She prefers the ganja!

I think it comes down to professionalism, humility and likability. Leann has none of these. She won't do the things necessary to restart her career, even if she could. She would have to stop behaving like a lunatic, stop talking about her personal life and hand over Twitter to her PR people. Then she would have to sign with an independent since no major wants her, if that's possible. She would have to get a new producer, one who can pick hit songs and actually listen to him. The problem is independent's don't have the money to push records. To revive her career she'd need a major but they won't bite unless she proves she can be a total professional again. And that's not going to happen. I don't even know if any independents want her or if she won't sign with one because she thinks it's a step down.

^^JFK it's not even Halloween yet but I gotta good fright looking at that the CMT video. Those TRAGIC eyebrows. Reminds me of my fav Halloween ghoul

Amy from the classic Fright Night circa 1985

And All those hand gestures when shes talking. It's so distracting and I couldn't really understand what she was saying- she speaks so fast now my brain can't keep up.

She has to know that she can do better than Eddie, she can get somebody younger, better looking and more successful. She got him to marry her, so maybe her new obsession is being the (better) woman that Eddie will stay faithful to, not that she can control that, although she tries (cancelling concerts, etc). She should just remember the "immortal" words of the young, wise, wildly more successful Taylor Swift, "players gonna play, play, play, play, play" and kick Eddie to the curb. Her self-esteem shouldn't be wrapped up in being the wife that Eddie will adore and keep it in his pants for.

Yesterday Wewe's Xmas album dropped and it seems this fella who sang her trademark song on the Voice (I believe on Monday night) is getting more mentions and trending more than Wewe herself. I would love to see numbers of downloads on ITunes for his rendition. I think he sang it quite lovely- never heard a man sing this and he hit the falsetto pretty good.

I'm surprised she hasn't tweeted about what an honor it is to serve as an inspiration to this contestant...

You can actually understand the words when he sings. It's LIVE? I thought it was LEAVE, no wonder it never made sense.
