I gotta say I have a whole new found respect for Rhianna after seeing those meet & greet pics. Meet & greets can be tedious and sometimes scary experiences (if the fans are too aggressive) but Rhianna seems to take it in stride and Avril is the stupid lil frozen twatwaffel I imagined her to be. Rihanna all the way. I knew someone who went to see her, he and his boyfriend. They are in their 30s and go to a lot of pop concerts. He said she would come by and grab his hand and really look at him and connect in a fun way. It made his night, and she had them back stage to sign an autograph and take a photo. He said she was a sweetheart. That was the tour before last, though. This past tour, with her breakup with Chris happening again, she seemed a mess and was constantly late and didn't care.
But what I noticed is when she has fans outside of her hotel or wherever she doesn't just sign real quickly and leave. She interacts with them sometimes while signing. This little girl fell down and she helped her up and made sure she was okay later and took a photo with her. I see fans outside of bands and stuff and the lead singers just keep their heads down, sign a few autographs and don't even look up or speak. She will still pose with the fans also there. So kudos to Rihanna for that.
