It's too bad she missed a screening of it. I'm excited to see what they do with the adaptation.

Poor woman. I am sure she will do well, but what a shock.
A good friend of mine had it,too. No family history. Trim. No vices. It can just hit out of the blue and I hope reseach will find out why. Awful.

So sad, I loved Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing so damn much, actually all of the Fudge books. I hope she pulls through just fine and gets her month-long Italian vacation soon.

Oh, no! I love Judy Blume. Her books were the best and I look forward to sharing them with my daughter. I wish her all the best and hope they get this cancer.

I just gave my daughter Are you There God... a few weeks ago. She loved it as much as I did. Get well Judy Blume!

Count me as another who loved her books as a kid. It was like she was writing specifically for me and no one else. My daughter and I have read the Fudge books and she loves them too. I hope JB has a speedy and easy recovery.

OMG, all us girls who read her book WERE Margaret! As much a part of my pre-teen ritual as reading Diary of Anne Frank. Sniffles and sads.

What TERRIFIED me of Are You There God was these "sanitary belts" I would someday have to wear for a week every month. SO much info, sorry, but I remember big old Kotex cardboard tampons in my mom's bathroom but no belt with metal hangy things to hold a big sanitary napkin with.
