Sting and Trudie Styler got married after their kids pressured them. They didn't see the need, but it was super important to the kids.

I agree with this, it is touching. Ang could have made the day all about her and in a way, with the dress, it was but the veil and having the kids involved is a HUGE sacrifice on her part on such a special day. It really shows how much she loves all of her kids. Both her and Brad. I can't fault that, them, and judge anything about their nuptials.
Congrats and I really do hope it lasts.

I'm not seeing how it was a "HUGE sacrifice on her part".

yeah... I mean, at her first wedding she wrote the groom's name on a tshirt in her blood, right? I do love the sacrifices she makes. LOL

I think this is the most 'normal' I've seen her brother look.

Yeah if you don't want to make HUGE sacrifices when it's supposed to be YOUR day, how about having the wedding before you have six kids and they're grown enough to know what's happening. Novel concept, I know.

Let's stay focused on the fact that Angie never said it was a sacrifice. As for the judging for not marrying before having kids..... wow, just wow.

oh, I don't judge about having children out of wedlock and such... and I'm not operating under the assumption that it was any sort of sacrifice for her children to draw on the veil. I'm laughing at people thinking THAT was a sacrifice... howevs, Ang did say this in regards to the bloody tshirt: "It's your husband. You're about to marry him," she told the newspaper. "You can sacrifice a little to make it really special."

I've nothing against people having children before they marry, I just don't see how it would be a sacrifice to involve the kids in a way that they enjoyed seeing as though they are more than old enough to participate.

I plan on making my HUGE sacrifice by banning children. Hopefully it will lead to some people sacrificing the need to speak to me ever again.

seriously- exactly what was the sacrifice here? and certainly not a HUGE one. I mean, I guess wearing that ugly veil was tough for the first few seconds, but I wouldn't call it a sacrifice.......

All of God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.

It seems like neither of them cared about getting married, having both been married before: They've been together and had children together for ages without being engaged or married, they made comments in interviews along the lines of not getting married until gay marriage was legal in the U.S., etc.

So, then their kids grew old enough to know that they were different from other couples in this particular way, and to ask questions about it, and to want them to do it. So they decided they would, for the kids, and they let the kids basically design and propel the whole thing, down to helping create the dress and write the vows.

It wasn't them making some special sacrifice by letting the kids be so involved in something important to the two of them; they were just allowing the kids throw them a party that they wanted to throw, which happened to be a wedding. I don't give a shit about weddings, and I think it's kind of great.
