I think it's more likely that the girlfriend wasn't involved and the perps were in fact jealous thugs he used to know or someone retaliating for the gun incident he was involved in last year....shooting him in the leg because they thought it wouldn't kill him, but would end/fuck up his career.

^^^YEA--that's ANOTHER thing: the alarm system was apparently not working THAT NIGHT. And yet another bizarre thing: the Redskins had no idea he was home in Miami. He had allegedly spoken to someone within the organization previously and had asked if he could go home to Miami to 'take care of some stuff', and they let him go. They were completely unaware that he was there on this particular day, as again apparently, he had to attend practice in VIRGINIA like the next day or very soon after.

Obviously I don't know if ANY of this is actually true, but when you step back and look at it all---someone that was close to him almost had to have been involved.

I also read that the whole previous break in--when the knife was left--was total bullshit. I guess the house HAD been broken into, but no knife was left. Who knows???

I was reading Michael Strahan's book last night (He's a NY Giant). He was saying how when you make it to the NFL, you need to leave some old friends behind, if they are "bad news", etc. That your team mates value their safety and will ostracize you if you hang with thugs. He mentioned Sean Taylor as one of those who learned that the hard way- his car and house were shot up at some point.

The suspects include two teenagers and a man in his 20s, all from the Fort Myers area, the paper reported.

A telephone message left at the Florida City Police Department for the slain safety's father, Chief Pedro Taylor, was not immediately returned.

Richard Sharpstein, a former Taylor lawyer and family friend, confirmed the law enforcement report.

"It's my understanding that three individuals are in custody. A house is being searched," Sharpstein said, without disclosing who had given him the information.

He repeated previous statements that the burglary did not appear to be random and that the 24-year-old's house had been targeted.
Taylor's teammates and friends were measured in responding to this latest development.

"I can't get excited or get my hopes up hoping these are the guys until we know for sure," said running back Clinton Portis. "Everybody wants to know why. It's still not gonna bring back Sean. It will still take a great guy away from the world."

Said receiver Santana Moss: "If those are the guys, I just hope that they'll just be dealt with properly. I feel there's nothing much I can say about it. It's no anger I can express to them. What's done is done." Evidence at Taylor's home indicated one or more intruders barged into the house early Monday in an attempted burglary, Miami-Dade police director Robert Parker said Wednesday.

If the house alarm was also tampered with these weren't just amateurs, this was obviously well planned. Plus a machete is never equal to a gun. What a waste.

This four teenagers story doesn't sound right. They claim they didn't know he was going to be home, and that they were just robbing the place. But you don't tamper with the phone lines on a house, if you don't think anybody's home. Not to mention, the knife left in the previous break-in was a definite warning.

Andy and his family are white Cuban-Americans. Many Cuban-Americans are white (the rest are black or mixed race). Latino is not a race.

Andy may be a light-skinned Cuban but that doesn't make him white. He's still Hispanic. And the dark-skinned Cubans aren't black. Cubans, like Brazilians, have a strong mix of white European and African blood, but they're still Hispanic.

But many people consider Hispanics to be white, don't they? At least the ones from Spain let's say. Central America Hispanics are more Indian. Like Guatemalens are descended from the Mayans. I consider Andy Garcia to be White.

^^Yeah, I've seen that. And I was like what the hell? But I think that's because some lighter Hispanics want to consider themselves white. Just like some lighter blacks like to consider themselves white. You can't change your race, just ask Michael Jackson.

I don't know too many people that consider Hispanics white. And Hispanics from Central America are still Hispanic, they just have a lot of Indian blood in them. The Guatemalens are descended from the Spainards who mixed with the Mayans.

I mean, Spain is in Europe and Spainards are considered European, but that doesn't make people from Spain white. Just like white South Africans are from Africa and are considered African, but they aren't black.

For example, my grandmother was Indian and my great-great-grandfather was white, but that doesn't make me Indian or white. I'm still black.
