Yeah, I think the girlfriend might have been involved, directly or indirectly. Maybe she was hooked up with some other guy, or maybe somebody else wanted her for himself and decided to get Taylor out of the way. Who knows? But if it comes out that she was involved I won't be shocked, because there's a lot more to this story that hasn't surfaced yet.

Truth is, nothing shocks me anymore...especially when it comes to this kind of crime! I hope they catch the person who committed this crime and the person behind it (if it's the gf).

I heard that the phone lines had been cut (or tampered with) and that the girlfriend had to call police from her cell---but that she didn't call IMMEDIATELY. There was a delay....
Now obviously, if you're fiancee was just shot in front of you and you try to use your home phone and cannot, it may take a few minutes to register what the shit just happened and to find your cell...

Now, if the phone lines were tampered with, wouldn't that have to have been done inside the home?? And maybe she purposely delayed calling on her cell?? Just saying.

I HOPE this is not the case honestly. But I have a bad feeling about it all.

^^Yeah, all of that tampering with the phone lines and the delay in calling the cops just doesn't add up. Something is definitely off in this case.

I hope it isn't the case too. Without more info it's hard to say. It could be that her purse wasn't in the bedroom with her and she wasn't sure if the people were still in the house? Phone lines can be cut from outside. That wouldn't necessarily have to have been done in the house. The fact that the phone lines were cut makes the claim of "burglary" odd though. I can't see a burglar taking the time to do that. Also nothing has been reported as stolen. Although again it could be that police just aren't releasing all details.

So awful for his family and friends.

With everything I have read on this thread about the previous break in with only a knife left on the bed, it makes me wonder if someone was not happy with them being a mixed race couple. I'm assuming Andy's niece is white.

Could be. Horrible to think that there are still people who would take racism to that extreme.

This friend seems to think it was jealousy which is also possible I suppose. Taylor was successful and had it all.

I have heard the stories of how out of control this guy has been and that just in the last year did he begin to settle down. He has not been scandal free to say the least. It seems that he had a nice childhood, with hardworking parents who valued his eductaion, not just his ability to play a game. Maybe all the hype of how great he was got to him and he was buying into his own press over the years. Regardless of how he lived his life, he did not deserve to die.

Lynnie - I got a gut feel about the girlfriend as soon as I heard the story but have no valid reason for it. I had the same feeling the morning they announce that Nicole Simpson had been murdered. I turned to my husband and said "OJ did it". He thought I was nuts until more stories began to come out.

edited to add: Just read that they are questioning 2 teens and a 3rd person. They claim there is evidence that places all 3 in the house. The same article on CNN then says that Taylor's Mom said she has her own ideas of what happened but will not say anything as police do their investigation.....

Sean Taylor may have had a sketchy past, but I met him last year at an event here in Virginia. He was super polite and very happy.
This is very sad.

Don't understand why he didn't have a beefed up alarm system and extra security besides the machete?
