Did not know she had a book coming out.

I think the only disservice in this thread was that the original article writer thought that the coolest things to write about Poehler were her reactions to various drugs.
Poehler seems to have an interesting/funny take on everything. Personally, what I homed in on was her take on being a single parent. I know that my wife and I tag team a lot of stuff with the kids so that we can have our "Bicycle Thief" moments.
It's disappointing because a wickedly smart, accomplished, hilarious entertainer has been whittled down to a list of reactions she's had to drugs. Is that opinion wrong too? Lol
She nailed the ecstasy comedown description.
white, black, puerto rican/everybody just a freakin'/good times were rollin'.
I'm struck by the fact that she received divorce advice from Louie CK. He should write a How to Survive Divorce Book. I would buy that!!

In your initial post it seemed like you were saying you expected more from her, as in you were disappointed that she'd done drugs. But if what you mean is that you're disappointed that an entire article was written just about that and ignores the contents of the rest of her book then yes, i'm with you on that.

At least we ALL agree that Amy is Awesome! Love her and Will in Blades of Glory.

Blades of Glory was the shit. Best part: Will Ferrell skating to Stroke Me in a 'tsunami of swagger'.
This.
I find the shockhorroroutrage at any intelligent celeb's admission to recreational drug use hilarious. We have no problem with chain smokers and alcoholics, but oh my god a comedian admits to having smoked dope??? CALL THE NATIONAL GUARD. So hypocritical.
What I love about these is the way that her descriptions are basically "Yeah, being high is fun - the come down, not so much. So if you've got shit to do, then you can't get high. Pretty simple." Which is the most reasonable way to discuss drugs - they make you feel good, but when the come down isn't worth the hassle, you don't do them. Simple.
After seeing the stuff coming out of Hollywood, I think there are probably about 10 people, tops, who are not on drugs.
Well seeing as how Mo is the king all of graphs and statistics, he probably did.
