Sinister is right. Shitty works too.

Every word you said. I was lucky enough to go watch the filming of "Bottle Shock" in Sonoma a few years ago. A bunch of us sat under the trees in the square and watched for hours. It was BLAZING hot and he had to wear a heavy-looking 70's blazer and slacks. He was tireless, doing take after take. In between shots he was funny and kind to everyone. And yes, he looked and sounded even better in person. *sigh* His longtime partner Rima was there too, and they just seemed so effortlessly close and happy together. Very glad now I got off my ass and went! I hate the valley heat in summer but those days were so worth it.

I'm not dealing with this well at all.

I just saw this photo that was apparently taken December 7, 2015 - a little over a month ago.

He was such an attractive man, IMO.

2016 is definitely off to a fucked start.

This had me in tears this morning. Such a terrible loss. May his family and friends find peace.

    Rest in Peace Alan Rickman.

You made Hans Gruber (Die Hard) the sexiest and most charismatic 'on screen villain', possibly of all time.

i wish your family and loved ones all the very best.

I just feel like crawling back into 2015 where Alan and David are still alive.

Fack I was just watching the Harry Potter marathon over the Holidays. He was amazing.

It pisses me off when people judge when us folks get upset when our favorite celeb passes. No one in here but my shitty neighbor who laughed at me when I sobbed over Patrick Swayze. I'm an 80's kid.

I just wrote something very similar in the Bowie thread. I remember seeing Truly Madly Deeply and being wrecked by it. I loved his voice, like warm cream being poured into melted chocolate and I loved his period films Sense & Sensibility and An Awfully Big Adventure. I'm sad for who truly loved him here.

"Bottle Shock" was a movie I took for granted and that came on cable every once in a while. Now, that we have been to Napa/Sonoma, and know the true story behind the movie, I can't wait to see it when it comes back on.

I'm still miserable about this days later and searched a bit to see if they'd updated anything about the cancer that took him and how long he had it. According to multiple articles, he apparently suffered a small stroke in August and it lead to the discovery of pancreatic cancer. After that, it was a swift decline to the end.

I forgot that I also need to add Kevin Kline to the list. I have a massive crush on him that I've had for over 20 years. I love that man. He's going to be 69 this year. Please, spare him.

Oh, god, pancreatic. Fucking sucks. As much as I wish to go back to a 2015 with him alive (and Bowie), pancreatic is a miserable bitch. I'm glad he went relatively fast. 4 to 5 months seems to be the average. My friend was gone within 5 months.
