No, no, no. I love Alan Rickman and have had such a massive, enormous, gigantic crush on him for years and years. He can't be gone. That voice can't leave.

[QUOTE=MohandasKGanja;3424941]Mrs. Mohandas LOVED this guy ever since the first Die Hard. Not only his looks, but his sonorous voice. Every time his name comes up, she goes, "Sitting on a beach.....earning 20 percent." RIP!

Oh me too. I've loved him since Die Hard. His voice was like buttah. And he was one of those actors that when he was a supporting actor, he ended up stealing the movie from the headlining actor. A Gentleman, an actors' actor and a huge loss to everyone. I don't recall one person who didn't like him or had one bad thing to say about him. A truly sad day.

Depends on whether you are counting the last month or just 2016.

In the last month or so we lost Lemmy, David Bowie, Natalie Cole, Alan Rickman...

I watched "Galaxy Quest" the other day with him, Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver and he was fabulous in that! I'm so sad to hear this. Great actor.

I have to watch that again, I remember being pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it. And YES Rickman is fab in it. I believe his passing has touched me more than Bowie. So many rich characters, I thought we would have him to enjoy for years to come.

I have been looking for taped interviews on line, what a thoughtful interviewee he is. Loves his craft, and I love the occasional twinkle that gives a glimpse of humour underneath.

We saw that film with friends and loved it. It also had Tony Shalhoub (great), Sigourney Weaver (still hot here), and Sam Rockwell. Rickman was in the role as a Shakespearean actor deeply embarrassed to be mostly known for his Spock-like role.

Everyone's said what I was going to say. I just have to chime in and say how much Mr. pig and I loved him in everything we've seen him in. Can't believe he's gone.
