R.I.P. Doris had one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard.

Noooo! I love her! Mom and I were just watching one of her movies the other night, Move Over, Darling. She will be very missed.

Weird, I just read an article not three months ago about how well she was doing and very spry and all that. I guess 97 snuck up on her. Rest in paradise, Doris. You will be missed.

She had a long life and survived some pretty sleazy husbands. Loved her James Garner movies more than anything. RIP.

RIP, Ms. Day. You were a ray of sunshine in Hollywood, and your movies are some of my favorites. Thanks for being so awesome.

Pillow Talk was the reason for my work and style influence (as well as MTM). Doris had one of the best figures in Hollywood as far as I'm concerned. Iconic everything. A lady and private too. All three Doris/Rock/Tony Randall movies were the greatest feel good movies with the best clothes.

She's taking notes on how playboy Rock would like to have his current sex functional apartment redecorated:

R.I.P. Doris Day. And now Lena Horne, too.

^ Wiki says she died in 2010.

My grandparents only had war movies or musicals in the house. So I dread to think how many times I watched Calamity Jane while I was staying with my grandparents during school holidays. I still consider that movie one of my all time favourites. She truly was a breathe of fresh air and she stole every scene with her energy. Rest in peace.

I think this is the 3rd time someone on here said Lena Horne had just passed. It makes me think hard every time.

I need to listen to Sentimental Journey, and watch Pillow Talk. Those are my favorites from her.

I loved her movies with Rock, but also Calamity Jane, which I found refreshingly different for her. She said that was her favorite movie, because she WAS Calamity Jane as a kid, a very tomboyish girl.

Gonna be honest here... know who she is, know she is an icon... don't know if I've ever seen anything with her in it. A colleague who is a little older than me came up to me the day she died and was all "Oh, xxx, did you hear Doris Day died! like this was news she really wanted to share specifically with me." I said, yes, I heard. She went on and on. I said 97 was a long life and she was an icon. Didn't know what else to say. She was a favorite of this colleague. I really felt weird because I honestly know nothing more than she was an icon. Don't know why I never saw her in anything. Seems like a lot of people loved her. RIP.
