get off your high horse, woman! My son's father is 18 years older than me and he wasn't/isn't a pervert. Yes, because she is a fucking teenager, a "virgin" and a gold-digger, they shouldn't be together. But guess what - if her parents are ok with it, you can't do shit about it.

Normally I don't really care about age differences, but for me, the age difference is gross because he could be her grandfather. It's too wide of a gap, and then when you look at her it's just... uugghhh, everything about this is just so wrong on every level.

No way I would ever want my 16 year old daughter getting in a "relationship" with a 51 year old man (and I doubt many others would either). Having things in common? This isn't about a woman in her 20's dating/marrying a guy 20, 30 years older. This is a 16 year old girl. I don't think it matters that she looks like she's older or worn out looking, nothing changes the fact she is 16.

I'm not going to 'condone' or try to make this seem not as big a deal in trying to be 'open minded.'

No guy that is aged 50 plus in their right minds would even think of getting in a "relationship" with a 16 year old girl. That is just plain sick.

What I expect of other people's kids and what I expect from my own precious snowflake are VASTLY different things. I doubt ONE poster would say "yes, this is what I want for my child". The difference is: That little gold-digging trollop ain't my kid. My dad would've hit a motherfucker so hard, he'd have been unconscious until I was at least 18. This is not a case of "being open minded". This is a case of "fuck 'em, it ain't my kid".
