It has been recreated by the likes of Maria Sharapova and Paris Hilton.
And now Courtney Stodden has jumped on the bandwagon and is the next in line to mimic the iconic Athena tennis poster.
Just in time for Wimbledon, the 17-year-old publicity-hungry bombshell showed a lot of cheek as she slipped on some very tight white for a racy game of tennis with her husband Doug Hutchison, 52.

The wannabe singer and actress bared plenty of flesh in a white bikini top, briefs and barely there skirt to hit the ball around with her beau.
Of course Courtney was not without her stacked stripper-style platform shoes, which appear to be permanently attached to her feet.
And that also goes for her silver arm band, which Courtney can't also bear to part with.

The teenager got to grips with her racket, as well as her husband, as she displayed her ball skills on the court.
And it appears that she was quite the pro, expertly hitting the tennis ball, all whilst flaunting plenty of cleavage and leg.
Courtney had a ball throughout the game, hamming it up by pretending to play the guitar with her racket and doing cheerleading-type poses.

The Athena Tennis girl pose has been recreated several times since it's Seventies release.
As well as the before-mentioned Paris take, professional tennis player Maria Sharapova unintentionally recreated the photograph during a game in Wimbledon last year.
Martin Elliot took the infamous shot, simply titled Tennis Girl, featuring his then girlfriend, 18-year-old Fiona Butler, in 1976.

The image instantly shot to fame and went on to sell more than two million copies worldwide.
Mr Elliot died in 2010 following a 10-year battle with cancer, aged 63.
His widow Noelle, who met her husband in 1987, more than a decade after Tennis Girl was taken, described his early days as 'crazy', saying the image brought him worldwide acclaim.
'Martin sold the image to Athena - who turned it into a poster - but he retained the copyright. I am still getting royalties to this day.
'They're only a few pence but because it has sold all over the world we have done well out of it,' she said.
