oh god, he looks well into his 40's (or even 50's). I never saw that picture, I remember him looking more like he does in the original picture posted (from TMZ)

aaaawww rest in peace, you were cute, but stupid; drugs are bad ppl! they don't fix problems and they are a good way to escape.
*waits for courtney love to add her unwanted commentary on the kid and drugs and inevitebly herself*

He is from my "neck-o-the-woods" and had a rotten, terrible childhood. Most people don't know he got his start in movies thanks to a local elementary teacher. He had many opportunities to change his circumstances in life but he always fell back to being around his screwy, law-breaking family members who only ever cared about Brad's money and fame.
He developed a kiss my bad ass attitude a looong time ago that he refused to ever change. It's a shame, 'cause the guy was talented and "discovered" totally by accident.

Yeah, you're right! But wait a minute....where else have I seen Brad Renfro (as a kid) then?

well that part is sad, I guess he never had the tools to carry on as an adult. a lot of boys from abusive childhoods don't always make it, but they take it out on others or end up in jail and then sometimes death .

Hence, another reason for my confusion!

How terrible. I remember hearing about his troubles a while back, it's so sad he couldn't stay away from the bad influences.

I remember his face as being someone I had just seen previously in a movie. So I looked it up and it was a movie called 10th and Wolf. He looked okay in that.

RIP, Brad Renfro. He was far too young to die. It breaks my heart.
