Terminally ill Jade Goody is set to return home today after begging doctors to allow her to spend the remainder of her life with her sons.
The 27-year-old is desperate to be with Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie.
Her final journey home will only be allowed however, if doctors are satisfied her pain can be controlled.

Max Clifford told The Sun: ‘She will be coming home … but only if nurses are able to keep her pain at bay.
‘The plan is that she will leave in an ambulance under supervision of someone from the Marsden who will administer the epidural and pain control.
‘Jade is desperate to get home and spend her time with the boys.
‘A nurse will spend two or three days at home with her, teaching Macmillan nurses how to deal with the epidural and Jade’s pain relief.’
The dying reality star is said to be ‘thrilled’ at the prospect of coming home to her loved ones.
Tonight Living TV will broadcast the mother-of-two preparing for her wedding last month.

On being asked about Jade’s time in hospital, an emotional Jack Tweed tells the cameras: ‘I’ll tell you what. I do not know how she does this. I was a baby with that.
‘And she’s spent all this time in hospital. I can’t believe it.’
Yesterday it was revealed she is losing her sight as the cancer takes hold and can now only see out of one eye.
Jade hates her children seeing her lying in her sickbed in the Royal Marsden Hospital and is desperate to go home to Essex.

A source said: 'She wants to go home and be surrounded by family and friends.
'Everybody's concentrating on getting the nurses prepared so she can face the pain at home.'
Her mother Jackiey is keeping a round-the-clock vigil at her bedside and her husband was with her for five hours, collecting flowers from well-wishers on the way in.
Jade, who is suffering from cervical cancer which has spread rapidly throughout her body, is at least finding comfort in God following Saturday's joint christening with her boys.
Mr Clifford, also revealed that she had been cheered by a message from pop supremo Michael Jackson, who is in town to promote a summer residency at the O2 Arena.
He recorded a message on Sunday. In it he said: 'Hi Jade, it's Michael. I'm thinking of you and I hope everything goes as well as it can. I want you to come and see me when I'm over. My brother keeps asking me about you.'
Jade was in Celebrity Big Brother with Jermaine Jackson.
Security has been stepped up today at the Royal Marsden, following an incident on Saturday where Jade woke to find a woman leaning over her bed clutching a hammer.

Police were called and arrested a 41-year-old suspect, but she was released from custody without facing further action after Jade said she wouldn't press charges and meant no harm.

In what was billed as her last ever interview, Goody told of her heartbreak at his detractors, saying they were 'well out of order'.
Speaking to OK! magazine about those who have doubts about Tweed, Goody said: 'How am I meant to react to stuff like that? It really upsets me.
'They don't know anything about us. Jack loves me and I love him. Yeah, he's been a bit stupid in the past but he is young.'
Goody told the magazine he had been a brilliant father to Bobby and Freddie and she was sad she couldn't give him his own child.

'The boys adore him - he was still playing with them at 1am at our wedding away from all his mates. That's how good he is with them.'
She said of Tweed: 'He's been a brilliant dad and I'm just sorry I could never give him his own child.'
Earlier this month, her husband was convicted of assaulting a taxi driver.
Magistrates warned Tweed, who denied the offence, that he could be jailed when he is sentenced on March 26.
It is the second time in six months that he has been convicted of assault.
Speaking about not knowing which day will be her last, Goody said: 'I might fall asleep one day and not wake up and that is a scary thing to think about.'
'No one should worry about me, though. I'm in terrible pain, but I am determined to make sure that the time I have left is fun with my mates and family.'
Goody said she wanted to be remembered for being a 'mouthy bird... The one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure.
'But I also want to be remembered as the girl who put up a fight and would never let herself get beaten down,' she told OK!
'I was given a death sentence, but I didn't let it kill me. I fought it, got married, got christened. I'm happy.

'I've achieved more in 27 years than some achieve in their lifetime.
'I could bitch about dying young, but at the end of the day, I can look back on my life and be proud of what I have done.'
Speaking about reincarnation, she said: 'My mum swears that her granddad came back as a bee that used to sit at her window.
'She was convinced that it was her gramps watching over her.
'I like to think I can be like that! But I wouldn't want to come back as a bee, I'd probably get swatted!'
Goody has spoken of her desire for a public funeral - prompted by so many messages of goodwill and people saying they want to pay their respects.
The bishop who conducted Jade Goody's wedding ceremony has spoken about the service for the first time.
Jonathan Blake said Jade behaved 'like no bride I have ever seen before' at the service.
She had managed to remain on her feet during the service to make her vows - which he has now recited in full.

I know its different for everyone but compared to the people i have watched die from cancer, she really does look quite healthy for someone who only has days left. My SIL was literally a skeleton during her final weeks.

CANCER victim Jade Goody was last night just hours from death.

Frail and weak, the desperately-ill star is not expected to live beyond tomorrow.
As family and close friends gathered at her bedside yesterday one pal warned: “It IS now a matter of hours, she has deteriorated dramatically overnight. Sadly she is very close to the end.”
The friend then told how, when the truth sank in on Friday night, reality TV star Jade cried out in terror, screaming for husband Jack Tweed.
“One of the problems is she’s terrified of falling asleep because she’s afraid she’ll never wake up,” said the source.
“That means she completely exhausts herself. It was terrible.”
New hubby Jack, 21, revealed how he, too, panicked when told Jade’s condition had taken a turn for the worse on Friday.
Fearing it was all over, he dashed to his wife’s bedside at her home in Upshire, Essex, after asking Home Office officials to lift the curfew imposed after his early release from a jail sentence for assault.
“When I got the call I was absolutely terrified,” he said. “The thought that our fairytale could be over already filled me with dread and sadness.”
Big Brother legend Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford confirmed: “She has deteriorated. She is very weak. The answer is, who knows? We are on the edge of a precipice.” All but close family and friends have been told Jade, just 27, can no longer see visitors.
The new curfew rules set by hubby Jack’s parole officers mean he can stay with her round-the-clock rather than having to report to his mother’s house 30 minutes away.
And late last night Jade’s grandparents Sylvia and John were expected to join the vigil.
FRAIL: Stricken star in ambulance

Yesterday Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden was in tears as she passed on the sad news to pals that her daughter knew her precious time was finally up.
Jade was asleep most of the day but when Jackiey emerged to let in nursing staff she was clearly distraught.
A friend said: “She’s been crying her eyes out, she’s been in floods of tears because she too realises it’s nearly the end of the road.
“The family were told maybe Jade would make it to Tuesday but after such a bad night that’s been revised to Monday and maybe sooner.
“She’s in a very bad way and has been in so much awful pain.
“They’ve given her a lot of medication and she’s been in a deep sleep most of the day and hasn’t woken up.
“But Jade’s getting weaker and weaker and is looking very pale.
“We all knew it was getting close when she couldn’t even raise a smile or give a thumbs-up when she was taken home from hospital on Wednesday.
"She’s gone downhill a lot since then and everyone around her is really upset. Her mum Jackiey is in pieces.
“Everyone knew this was going to happen, but it’s still desperately sad.”
Reality TV favourite Jade is being cared for by a team of dedicated specialist nurses.
And yesterday Jackiey, 50, just couldn’t stop herself giving the carer who looked after her daughter overnight a huge cuddle. The emotional mum clasped the departing carer tightly before opening the gates to the house at 9.20am.
Behind her sunglasses Jackiey looked drained and exhausted. She couldn’t bring herself to talk about Jade’s worsening condition but she was there manning the front door when two extra medics arrived at 11.30am.
Farewell

In a brief snatched escape from all the stress, Jackiey later took a 10-minute afternoon trip to the local post office and supermarket to buy some lottery tickets but it was all too much for her and she burst into tears again.
She was then taken for a drive by close family friend, and Jade’s personal trainer, Kevin Adams. to buy fresh flowers as a gift for the nurses.
More flowers, in the shape of two bouquets from well-wishers, arrived later in the day.
Then came a moment of unwanted drama as two born-again Christians trespassed onto the property and shouted up at Jade’s window in an attempt to speak to the ailing star. But the women were ushered away by a concerned neighbour.
The tension rose again at about 5.30pm when a doctor arrived in a silver Audi and, carrying his medical bag, entered the house. He left at about 7.50pm.
With time slipping away fast, Jade has already planned her funeral, insisting it should be a celebration of her life.
She wants a traditional burial and a service will be held at a church near her home.
Jade’s spokesman said: “The funeral will be a reflection of how she’s lived in the last seven years (since she first found fame in Big Brother)—full on.
DISTRAUGHT: Jackiey yesterday

“She wants to say farewell to anyone who wants to be there. It will mirror the happiest seven years of her life.
“There will be tears, but a lot of love and laughter as well.”
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is making a dramatic dash from India in a bid to see Jade one last time before she dies. The pair clashed on 2007 Celebrity Big Brother, but later became friends.
Jade was starring on India’s version of the show, hosted by Shilpa, when she was told she was suffering from cervical cancer last August. At first she was given a reasonable chance of survival but her cancer spread quickly.
Yesterday, there was no sign of Jade’s two sons, five-year-old Bobby and Freddie, four, who are being looked after by relatives. The boys visited their mum on Thursday with their father, Jade’s former partner TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
Knowing the situation, Jade discharged herself from the Royal Marsden Hospital on Wednesday so she could spend these final days at home with her loved ones all around her.
She has tried to keep life as normal as possible for her children, insisting they keep to their school routine.
A friend said: “Jade’s been incredibly brave and is just so pleased that she was able to marry Jack in time and be christened with her boys.
“Those were her final wishes so that she could be close to them when she’s gone.”
SUNDAY 6PM UPDATE: Jade's young sons visited her at home on Sunday with their cancer-stricken mum close to death.
The former Big Brother star’s condition had deteriorated over the weekend and she spent much of the day sleeping and under sedation.
But she was briefly conscious of boys, Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, and smiled when she saw them, her friend and publicist Max Clifford said.
The boys were seen arriving at the house holding books and DVDs.
Later, with their faces painted, they played in the garden of the Essex home, along with Jade’s mum Jackiey and husband Jack.
The family had been hoping for friends and loved ones to visit over the weekend for an early Mother’s Day celebration, but Mr Clifford said she had not been well enough.
“The boys went to see her and she was aware of them for a brief moment or two,” he said. “She saw them and she smiled.
“She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way.
“Now we’re waiting for the inevitable, it could be at any time, we just don’t know.”
A priest also visited Jade this morning to say prayers and blessings.
Jade has told her sons, who are staying with their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier, she will soon be in heaven.
