Jennifer Aniston: I still have messages from "My Husband".....Aww how cute
"I still have the cassette tapes of messages from my first boyfriend, my second boyfriend, my husband....It's like saving love letters.

Who does that? I will never admit to having messages from my exes especially my former husband who did me wrong, but that's just me.

is it wrong because she does it or wrong because she admits it? I don't see anything wrong with having notes and things like that from people who were involved in your life.

I actually have little boxes of trinkets, notes, flower petals, etc. from all of my old boyfriends. That's just how I am. Even if it ended badly, there was always some reason I liked/loved them and was with them.

I guess it depends on what is said in the message. I have saved ones from my son when he was little with his little baby voice.
Now if the message just said, "I'll be home at 10", click. Than it would be a little odd to keep them... If they are really sweet messages than I don't see why not.

I have an old mini-tape of our favourite little late male budgie screeching in the background.
I have most of the Valentine's Day and birthday cards that DH gave me as well.
Mementoes from former BFs have long gone the way of the dodo.

I have two little budgies, Oliver & Willow, & one Sun Conure. I love them so much.
A lot of my old mementos have also gone to extinction expect for jewelry...

When relationships goes south, so does a lo of their crap, except gifts. I will admit to keeping letters, cards, theater stubs etc. while we're together...but never voice mails. I had a friend who was killed our first month in college, and I had a few messages from her on my machine, clearing them off after she was killed freaked me out...so I no longer save messages from loved ones, friends, or family

I think it is just odd how she said my husband and had to throw it out there, I think she is trying to get Angie started again.

I have a tape of messages my ex left on my answering machine. He would often call and leave a message for me to get when I got home from work just to say he was thinking about me during the day. He also left some very sweet messages for our daughter. When he died last year I was very happy to have the tapes for my daughter.

Well that's cool, I don't see nothing wrong with that scenario. But I'm talking about a husband that dumped you and cheated on you and continuously disses you in public claiming his life wasn't fulfilling while he was with you.
honestly I'll be burning everything that you had including your voice messages.
If I was her I will even be ashamed to call Brad my husband with the crap he pulled imo.

I have a few odd bits - letter, pictures, some jewellry. After a break-up I always put everything away and deal with it at a later date when I am able to be more objective on what is special enough to keep rather than just instantly consigning everything to a firey end. Answering machine messages, though.. no.
