Carnie Wilson with Bonnie Hunt on The Bonnie Hunt Show, Jan. 13
Carnie Wilson can get the personalized pillow ready – she's already picked her new baby's name, five months ahead of the impending delivery.
"It's Luciana – but we'll call her Lucy. Isn't that great?" the singer tells her TV host on The Bonnie Hunt Show scheduled to air Tuesday.
Adds Wilson, "I love being 40 and pregnant. It rocks! I am Fertile Myrtle, you could say."
Lucy will be Wilson and husband Rob Bonfiglio's second child. Their first daughter, Lola Sofia, was born in April 2005. They publicly announced this new pregnancy in November.
When it came to telling her husband, who was playing a jazz gig the night she learned she was pregnant, Wilson tells Hunt, "I taped the [pregnancy stick] to the door. I drew three little stick figures and then a tiny one and said, 'Guess what?' "
And her 3-year-old's reaction? "I just let her in the whole process. I was with her and we jumped in the kitchen and she said, 'Mommy, Mommy, you're pregnant!' It was a beautiful thing."
Weight a 'Life Struggle'
Wilson is a former member of the Wilson Phillips female trio, and Bonfiglio, 41, is a former guitarist for Blush. The two met while on tour and married in June 2000.
At the time she was carrying Lola, Wilson – who underwent gastric bypass surgery in 1999 and later appeared on Celebrity Fit Club 4 – told PEOPLE, "I understand that I'm a role model. But sometimes I just want to be me, Carnie, being pregnant."
She now tells Hunt, "I am glad that I lost 50 lbs. before I got pregnant but honestly, I just push the big old pause button when I get pregnant."
As for her weight, "It's my life struggle," says Wilson. "I feel like the word 'diet' is not a great word because we know that diets don't work. I say [to daughter Lola], 'Let's just eat healthy. This is good for you. Let's just eat more of the healthy stuff.' "
In that regard, she says, "I don't eat red meat anymore. Now I am just a cheese freak because of the pregnancy. I can't stop with the cheese. And bagels."

She is kind of an attention whore, isn't she? I mean, does she actually still have a career in showbizz?

She's still got five months to go? Cause she's looking pretty damn big already if you ask me... Like that 50# has already come back and is now waiting for another 50 to join it.

^^Yea, Bonnie Hunt's show is pretty bad, and I LOVE Bonnie. It's hard to watch and I'm sure won't be around much longer.
But I agree--she's looking LARGE already. Perhaps its her choice of dresses?? I don't know....
She's a bloody 'role model?' For whom? Bloody insane. She's only a role model for yo yo dieters.
Coming in five months to a People magazine cover near you: Carnie Wilson- How I lost 60 pounds after my pregnancy, my inspirational story!
So f**king predictable.
Uh, not really."It's Luciana – but we'll call her Lucy. Isn't that great?"
I'm really embarrassed for her. She had a nano second of fame with Wilson-Phillips in the early 90s, but all she's famous for now is her ever-fluctuating weight, & she seems to revel in it.
I can't be too embarrassed for her - she's making a good living due to her weight woes.
I still don't see how her gastric bypassed stomach pouch hasn't burst yet.
I hate it. I hate the nickname even more.
What got me was the "Fertile Myrtle". It's only her second child!
I like the name Luciana, but it's not something I would pick out.
And ITA with the reviews about Bonnie Hunt's show. I really like her, but her show is a hard pill for me to swallow. I can't take anymore than a few minutes of it.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
I like the name.
She's gonna have a helluva time getting all that weight off.
