She insists she isn't pregnant, and the cigarette in her right hand would appear to confirm that fact.
But the way she was rubbing what appeared to be a bump beneath her baggy top did nothing to dispel rumours that Kate Moss is, indeed, expecting her second child.
The 34-year-old model is on a break in Thailand with boyfriend Jamie Hince and six-year-old daughter Lila Grace.
Sporting sunglasses on her head and a silver bracelet on her left upper arm, she chatted to friends with Kills guitarist Jamie by her side.
The supermodel also seemed to be sporting a mystery bandage on her right wrist.
It is not the first time Kate has been caught up in a wrist riddle. In October last year she was seen leaving a London party with a peculiar lump on her left arm.
The photographs are a far cry from Miss Moss’s latest Versace photoshoot, which sees her with a golden tan, unblemished skin and a healthy glow.
The advertising campaign, shot by celebrity photographer Mario Testino, showed the model looking like the picture of elegance with a svelte figure.
Speculation suggested her glamorous appearance could be down to an airbrush rather than sessions at the gym and a healthy eating regime.
And on Sunday, less flattering photos of the model emerged, showing her in a black bikini with love handles and cellulite on her thighs.

Rumours about a possible pregnancy began just months ago, when Miss Moss started stepping out in loose-fitting clothes and sipping soft drinks on nights out.
The model, famous for her skinny physique in the fashion world, was also pictured with a spotty complexion and eating fast food, raising suggestion she cared less about her figure.
And when she gathered friends at her Cotswolds retreat for a ‘big announcement’ in December, reports suggesting she was expecting her second child.
But the big news turned out to be the fact that she was not pregnant.

Miss Moss, Croydon's most famous export, is known for her hard parting ways and is often seen out on the London club scene with rocker boyfriend Jamie.
Her turbulent relationship with the 39-year-old guitarist hit the headlines in November when the couple were spotted with mysterious cuts and bruises on their faces.
The pair blamed their injuries on a ‘Christmas decoration accident’ but Moss was reportedly overheard telling Peter Kay at Stella McCartney's festive party that they had ‘a bit of a scuffle.’
