Default 'I dress like a school teacher,' claims Victoria Beckham

She may be a worldwide style icon, but Victoria Beckham has revealed an unlikely inspiration for her distinctive look - the British school teacher.
The 34-year-old former Spice Girl has spoken out against suggestions that her image has changed to fit in with laid-back LA style since her move to California last year.
Essex-born Victoria told Company magazine: 'It hasn't, not at all. I am very British in my style. Think school teacher.
'I love pencil skirts and fitted blouses, classic cut dresses and well fitted jeans mixed with classic tailoring.'
The mother-of three shocked the fashion world this summer when she was pictured in flip-flops at Disneyland, as she is usually never seen out of her trademark high-heel stilettos.
She claimed not to own any flat shoes, not even a pair of the popular ballerina pumps worn by fellow celebrities.
The star also admitted to wearing no make-up in front of husband David and her sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, in their Beverly Hills home.
But she is unlikely to dramatically change the public look that has helped her sell more than 400,000 copies of her 2006 style bible That Extra Half an Inch: Heels, Hair and Everything in Between.

Tailored: Victoria claims her tailored suits and pencil dresses are inspired by British schoolteachers... although we're not sure what school she found such chic teachers in!

She said: 'It's always good to know what suits you. Your signature style is whatever makes you feel happy, confident and sexy. Of course it's always good to mix things up every now and again too.
'Push the boundaries and evolve your style. Have fun, but be realistic. Don't follow the crowd.'
Victoria, who launched her own fashion line in September at New York Fashion Week, also revealed that her look is influenced more by old fashioned style rather than the latest trend.
'The 1950s icons had such class. I love the glamour and sophisticated style of Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn,' she said.
The full interview is available in the latest issue of Company magazine, on sale December 20.

^^Yeah, those heels are insane! I wouldn't make it one step in those things.

I think she was a lot better looking with longer hair.

She actually looks a lot like my daughter's teacher. The teacher is prettier though.

I love her hair short. It suits her face shape. And I love the last dress. Amazing.

She always looks great, and I've said it 500 times but I think she's wonderful.

I like Victoria, but I'd never go to any school that had a teacher that looked anything like her.

Please. She has been dressing like this for five minutes now. She always looked girly on good days, trashy on bad days.
