Mindy McCready hospitalized after apparent suicide attempt

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready was hospitalized Wednesday after an apparent suicide attempt, according to New York's Daily News.
Police and paramedics were called to a Nashville home where McCready, 33, was staying and immediately transported her to a hospital after they found wounds on her wrists, the Daily News reports.
"We responded to a '10-63,' that's a suicidal person call. Mindy McCready was at the house," said Kris Mumford, a Nashville Police Department spokeswoman, tells the newspaper. "Apparently she called the mother of her roommate and said some things that caused the mother concern. She called authorities. We responded with paramedics, who took her to a local hospital."
The singer -- who entered rehab over the summer after suffering a nervous breakdown -- also tried to take her own life in 2005 after swallowing a nearly fatal dose of pills with wine.
In October, she was released from a Tennessee jail in October after serving half of a 60-day sentence for violating her probation for prescription drug fraud.

She has some serious issues. To compound the sadness of the situation, I've read that the last time she tried to commit suicide, she ODed while pregnant with her son. She might as well start saving up for that kid's therapy bills now.

She's bound and determined to off herself. I don't doubt she'll eventually succeed. She's one messed up woman!

i look at that and see someone who doesnt necessarily want to die but is crying out for attention. I think the purpose of calling the mother of the roommate was to hint about her "attempts" so that paramedics would be called thus not dying. If she was serious she would have just done it. Obviously she has some issues that need looking at.

Mindy McCready - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaIn May 2005, McCready's ex-boyfriend, Billy McKnight, was arrested and charged with attempted murder after beating and choking McCready. The following July, McCready was found unconscious in a hotel lobby in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida after attempting suicide. She was hospitalized for a drug overdose after washing down a large amount of undisclosed drugs with alcohol. That September, McCready, who was then pregnant with McKnight's child, attempted suicide for a second time by overdosing on antidepressants.
On March 25, 2006, McCready gave birth to a son, Zander Ryan McCready.
On December 17, 2008, paramedics were called to McCready's home in Nashville after an apparent suicide attempt; they transported her to a hospital after finding wounds on her wrists.
