    Default Charlie Sheen's daughters unharmed in car wreck

    Charlie Sheen and ex Denise Richards's daughters are unharmed after being involved in a car accident Friday in Malibu, his rep tells PEOPLE.

    "Charlie told me that the girls are fine," said publicist Stan Rosenfield. "He said it could have been much worse. They were in their car seats, and he is extremely grateful for the safety features from Mercedes.

    The girls, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, were being driven in a Mercedes SUV around 3:30 p.m. when a Honda Civic made a turn in front of them, sparking a four-car collision, Sgt. Evans of the L.A. Sheriff's Department confirms. The girls' nanny was driving.

    "The only person injured was the driver of the Honda," Sgt. Evans said. "There was no crime committed."

    A rep for Richards could not be reached for comment.

    I like how neither child looks a bit happy, with either one of them there.

    That being said, though, I'm glad that everyone's all right.

    ETA: Misread, sorry. ^^;

    She'll still find a way to bash him in the press over this, just wait.

    I know the kids are relatively young still but they're ALWAYS sucking their thumbs and I just read it might indicate some emotional disturbance or anxiety.

    I can't wait to see what kind of shit they'll dish about their parents when they're older.

    You'd think he's fishing for a new Mercedes with the PR he's giving them.

    That's what I was thinking too. Especially the older one. She always looks miserable.

    I know! I really doubt that he was all about "safety features" when he bought it. I mean, I'm sure it was a plus, but I doubt it was the motivating factor in the purchase to begin with.

    Oh, she'll do that anyway... the interesting thing might be that HER car is a Mercedez-Benz SUV, so I wondered if it was her nanny taking the kids to him for visitation.... and hence they'll be a massive silence from her.....

    Yep, she was getting the older one of the car - on the road side of the parked vehicle - when a vehicle came passed & took the door off. Not very safety concious imo....

    Actually, they did say in an article at the time that they'd bought a Mercedes Benz saloon and that it wasn't sporty/sexy/whatever, but it was practical and safe and when you have kids... blah blah blah....

    ETA: he normally has them alternate w/es like 1st 3rd 5th, isn't this the 2nd weekend? Wonder if he's got more visitation after that child abuse stunt?

    I'm glad they are okay. I think they are adorable little girls.
