Jay-Z and Beyonce top Forbes couples list

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been named as Hollywood's highest earning couple.

The Irreplaceable singer and the hip-hop star turned music mogul, who tied the knot on April 4, top the list of Hollywood's best-paid power couples, beating out Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, who came in second place, David and Victoria Beckham, who pulled in third ranking, and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who came fifth.
Together, Beyonce and Jay-Z - whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter - earned around $162 million between June 2007 and June 2008, while the Smiths earned $85 million and the Beckhams $58 million, according to Forbes.com The 20 couples on our list are bound by love and success," says Forbes.com's Lacey Rose.
"To determine who made the cut, we looked at combined earnings not just from film, TV and music projects, but also from business ventures, endorsement deals and fashion lines."
Both of them have their own successful fashion ranges - Beyonce created the House of Dereon, while Jay-Z, the former CEO of Def-Jam Recordings, is one of the owners and founders of the Roc-A-Fella empire, including Rocawear. He also co-owns the American basketball team New Jersey Nets and a club in New York.

Once you have twenty million or thirty does it really make that much of a difference if someone has a million or two more or less?

Tom has more money then Will, so he would have made the list if it was based on it alone. But his Robot wouldnt, what does she pull in? Same with Jada? She dosent make shit, every role she gotten post 96 was because of the man she beards for.

With Joe Camel and Beyonce, most of that money is his.

It just depends on what stars hook up with who, and they are stratosphere powerful. Like if Britney hooked up with......Ashton Kutcher they be in the top 5, since he does make his own money and a nice sum at that. At least he be with someone who isnt his mother, and could give him a child. I NEVER thought he was hot until "What happens in Vegas".

Actually, I heard on the news it is split pretty closely, about 60% his, 40% hers. Shocked the hell out of me.
