Carrie Underwood regrets making Jessica Simpson mad by saying Tony Romo still calls her months after their split.
"It was something that was said in passing, and I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or stir up anything, because I'm just not about drama...at all," Underwood, 25, said in the December issue of Elle.
In August, the American Idol said her phone rings "and it'll be [Romo], and I'll maybe not answer." Simpson, 28, quickly denied her current beau still chats with his ex ("I looked at his call log," she said).


Underwood understands why Simpson was ticked off at her.
"I might be mad too if somebody said my boyfriend was calling some other girl," she said. "So I can definitely see where she would be coming from."
Besides, Underwood says she hasn't spoken to Romo, "since, like, May."



And she's not crying over any of her exes, anyway. The country star was recently been spotted with The Bachelor's Travis Stork.
But don't expect her to talk about their relationship.
"If I say I am or I'm not, as soon as this magazine comes out, it might be the opposite of what I tell you now," she said. "In three months, it'll be, 'Carrie said she's not dating anybody,' yet last night, I was out on the town with some guy. He's going to get mad at me. Everybody's going to think I'm a liar. It's just best not to go there."
The drama, she says, is just part of the job description of being a celebrity.
"All celebrities have to be involved in drama - or they’re not celebrities!" Underwood said. "There must be something wrong with 'em!"
So does she wish she weren't famous?
"I knew what I was signing up for, and I'm not complaining at all," she said. "I've learned how to deal with it, and my life is great, I'm a happy person. What are you going to do? Give it all up? No!"
For, now, though, she'd like to date somebody who is unaware of her fame.
"If I met somebody, and they don't know anything about me," she said, "That's like, 'Oh, you're going to actually get to know me a little bit before you go Google me?"

I don't even like Jessica, but I do hope Tony marrys her just to piss Carrie off! She is a total bitch, who the fuck does her ass think she is? I was even sticking up for Carrie at another forum a little, when she got on her HIGH HORSE about celebritys using, there mind for fucking once and endorsing candidates. This bitch was saying how they need to ALL Shut the hell up basically, and she loses ALL respect for any of them when she see's them telling people who they like in the race. Who does she think she is? Now, I think its dumb as hell if your going to vote Obama or McCain, just because Brangie/Oprah/Julia/Britney?Beyonce tell you too. However, if the celebs want to express their opinion, it dosen't make them Bad people. I used to think people just hated on her for no reason. She also apparently told Kelly Clarkson off, at a party one time, that her music/time were over and she needed to give up. Shit, Kelly has a better vioce then Underwood. Hands down. Now I don't like her music choices, but in a singing battle she can destroy Carrie. Ugh. Bitch.
