    Just heard this on local Chicago news. Apparently no other details yet.

    Report: Jennifer Hudson's Mom Killed On South Side

    CHICAGO (CBS) ― Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's mother was reportedly found fatally shot in a South Side home.

    Two adults were found dead in a home at 70th Street and Yale Avenue Friday afternoon, according to the Chicago Fire Department. A representative of the family's church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, confirms that 57-year-old Darnell Hudson was one of the victims.

    LocalFire officials: 2 dead on South SideFriday, October 24, 2008 | 4:34 PM By John GarciaCHICAGO (WLS) -- The bodies of two people were found in a home Friday afternoon on the city's South Side. Property records reveal the house belongs to the mother of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson.

    The discovery was made just before 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

    The home where the bodies were discovered is at 7019 S. Yale in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.

    Police have cordoned off South Yale between 70th and 71st streets.

    The medical examiner has confirmed the death of two people at the home and that the victims include an adult woman and an adult man.

    Property records indicate the home belongs to the mother of singer and Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson.

    Police have yet to confirm any of the details about any of this.

    The medical examiner is still awaiting the notification of all family members before they release the identities of the victims.

    Police have confirmed nothing about how the victims inside the home may have been killed. They are very early in their investigation.

    oh my god that is so sad and horrible, there can't be much worse in life than losing a mother, and she shouldn't have gone like that-and at that age

    The local CBS news will be on in a few minutes, but I just saw their promo and it definitely said Jennifer Hudson's mom was found murdered.
