Brad Pitt’s Biodegradable Cleanse For NOLA
by Piers Fawkes
We were in Kiehl’s last weekend - you know, just browsing - when we noticed the big display of their latest line which they developed in collaboration with Brad Pitt. There are some interesting considerations for the product: The proceeds go to a New Orleans charity called JPF Eco Systems, the product is made with as few ingredients as possible, those ingredients are non eco-toxic and the packaging is made from 100% post consumer packaging and is also 100% biodegradable (although the store clerk told us the plunger at the top isn’t). The web site says that they took a cradle to cradle approach to developing the new product: Our Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser is packed in a 100% food-grade, post-consumer recycled (PCR) bottle. This minimizes our use of non-renewable energy. The plastic used for these bottles is derived from food and beverage containers retrieved in curbside recycling programs. Cradle to Cradle Certified - Our product has met MBDC’s criteria for certification that assesses environmental and human effects of a product. This certification ensures: # The formula has a minimal-negative impact on the environment # The package has been approved for material reutilization, such as recycling or composting # The product is formulated and manufactured using renewable energy and efficient, socially responsible uses of water
Following in the foot steps of Paul Newman, Brad? Don't even try.
JPF? Are Jolie/Pitt biodegradable condoms next? Homeopathic herpes medicine?

I'd buy this here if I could - I have found all of the soaps I'm buying have so much shit in them it is unbelievable.
But its weird that Brad collaborated on this because apparently he has (or had) a body odor problem.

Brad Pitt and soap in the same sentence don't quite fit.

Me, too. It's amazing how difficult it is to find a soap product that isn't loaded with chemicals!

Doesn't every human being have body odour? Was Brad known for being stinky or unhygenic on film sets or something?

And not just every once in a while. The Shitt-Jolie traveling circus makes several trips a month, nay, per week, when they're in full gear. At the speed they're expanding, they also need a convoy of cars to move the entire herd from one place to another. Yes, that's caring for the environment for ya.

The most important thing left out that makes this relevant for me and everyone else in the real world: How much does this goop cost?

I'll bet he's using the fat left over from Ange's latest Mummy Tuck post-twins to make this wonderous soap. It's how you know this soap is amazing: it's made out of Holie Jolie's post-baby fat!

That's interesting...I'll stick to my own homemade soap though, there is a ton of junk in the storebought stuff.

Okay...had to dig, but I found a price finally. It's $16.50 for a 6.8oz(200ml) bottle
