Reality star Kerry Katona's publicist said he is 'increasingly concerned for her health and happiness' following her erratic appearance live on This Morning on Wednesday.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, who has previously battled drug addiction, shocked viewers as she slurred her way through an interview with Fern Britton and Philip Schofield.
The presenters were clearly worried about her state and told her they had been contacted by viewers during her interview expressing concern.
Philip said: 'You don't seem right to me. You've got the body sorted but your speech is a bit slurred. How are you feeling?'

Erratic: Kerry Katona shocked viewers with her bizarre appearance on This Morning today
A surprised Kerry glanced off camera and asked: 'Is it? That's probably because I'm on medication at night-time, which I took at half past 11 last night, didn't I Mark?
'I was on a TV show last night. I wasn't talking like this yesterday, probably because it's early in the morning. I've got it with me - it's 150mg of Propiomazine.
The 28-year-old continued: 'Now this is going to be made into a huge, big publicity thing. I'm absolutely fine, all it is is my medication, I swear to God, I'm absolutely fine. I literally just got here. I'm fine, never been happier, I swear to God.'
Her long-time publicist Max Clifford said the interview had been arranged by MTV, who are producing her new reality show Whole Again, and he would not have allowed her to appear on TV had he been present.
Clifford told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat: 'There's no way she should have done that interview. It was arranged by MTV to promote her new show. Had we been with her, we would have stopped it from happening.

Mess: Kerry slurred her way through the interview, blaming prescription medication for her state
'I've been increasingly concerned about Kerry in recent times - she's a fragile little soul.
'She's someone who's had a real nightmare of an upbringing and has fought very hard to overcome it, which is one of the reasons she's so popular.'
Clifford said he had spoken to her husband Mark Croft following her appearance on the show, who assured him Kerry had not been drinking, but her behaviour was down to her medication.
He added: 'I need to sit down and talk to her. Kerry is more than just a client. I've grown very close to her over the last five years through all the dramas and heartache she's had.
'We are close but I must admit after today, and in view of what's gone on over the last few months, I am increasingly concerned for her health.'
A source close to the mother-of-four says: 'She was obviously the worse for wear and to appear like that on national television in the morning is absolutely horrendous.
'She's breaking all the rules at the moment. She's bankrupt and apparently not taking her medication for bipolar disorder.
'On top of that, she's not listening to anyone around her. Her handlers have been working night and day to try and repair her image but she's gone and thrown it all away by acting so erratically.'

Tough questions: Fern pressed the reality TV star on her drinking habits
During the interview, Fern pressed Kerry over a magazine interview this week which mentioned that while on a shoot in Spain, she drank a lot.
Fern said the magazine claimed that 'you went to get ready with a bottle of champagne and once that had gone, you were feeling better for the photoshoot, and they wanted you to jump in the pool and you were tempted when they said have a shot first and then champagne after'.
Fern added: 'I suppose, and I'm going to be frank with you here, a lot of people say when you have an addictive personality and you get rid of one addiction, it's replaced with another.'
When Kerry replied, 'What addiction would that be?' Fern asked: 'Is it alcohol?'
Kerry said: 'No not at all. I was on holiday in Spain, I'm allowed to have a drink aren't I. Does that mean I'm an alcoholic?'
Philip tried to reassure her they were simply checking on her well-being as she seemed 'very, very different to the person we knew a few years ago'.
A defensive Kerry added: 'I thought you were trying to imply that I'm an alcoholic now.'

Under the knife: The former Atomic Kitten singer had her surgery filmed for the upcoming MTV show Kerry Katona: Whole Again
One shocked viewer, Nancy Baker, 37, from Tonbridge, Kent, said: 'It's car crash TV - she looked and sounded utterly dreadful.'
Mark Croft has denied speculation his wife was under the influence of alcohol during the interview, saying: 'Due to the TV commitments Kerry had last night, Kerry was four hours late in taking her medication for an ongoing bi polar condition.
'One of the side effects of her drugs is slurred speech and as Kerry took the drugs late and was up early it was particularly bad today.
'Kerry would like to categorically state for the record that that the only thing she drank before the show was cups of tea.'
Following her appearance, Iceland publicly back her as the face of its TV ads, but agreed with Clifford that she should have appeared on the show.
An Iceland spokesperson said: 'Kerry is dependent on medication for her bi-polar disorder and if this medication isn't taken at the correct time it will result in her appearing disorientated and slurring her words.
'On more than one occasion we have had first hand experience of this, and after a short period Kerry has been fit to resume her work, we were unaware of her appearance on This Morning and it is our opinion that Kerry should not have appeared on the programme.'
The 28-year-old star was on the programme to discuss her new body after undergoing £15,000 worth of plastic surgery in an effort to return to her pre-pregnancy figure.
Kerry, who had a breast reduction and liposuction, said: 'I suffered really badly with my back and now the weight off my back is unbelievable. It feels like a big load has been lifted off, I feel free, I can wear size 10 tops.
'I used to have really bad trouble wearing tops and was buying size 16 tops, now I can wear nice little tops.'

Back to reality: Kerry stars in the fly-on-the-wall show alongside husband Mark Croft
Kerry, who had the operation six weeks ago, added: 'You couldn't even tell. It's unbelievable, I'm made up. When I first took everything off I cried, I was like oh no what have I done but as the weeks got on and the days went by I was like I feel like a new woman. I feel like a young bird again.
'I felt like I was in my 40s I really did, bad backache, four kids, bit of weight on.'
She also admitted she is still smoking, despite reports she was warned that it could cause her nipples to fall off.
She said: 'I am still smoking. But they've not fallen off, everything's healed fine.'
The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner has struggled in recent years with her personal life regularly in a state of turmoil.
In the past 12 months alone, she received treatment for depression at the Priory after learning about her husband's alleged affair with a barmaid and was made bankrupt after failing to pay an outstanding tax bill.
She is also locked in a bitter custody battle with ex-husband Brian McFadden over daughters Molly, seven, and Lilly-Sue, five.
Kerry also has a daughter Heidi, 20 months, and son Max, who was born in April, with Croft.

I finally realized who she reminds me of ~ a skany version of actress Mare Winningham:

We have a few bi-polar posters here at GR. Hands up anyone whose medication makes you look and sound drunk as a skunk.... hmmm?...... anyone? *crickets*.
If Max Clifford, the sleaziest PR sleazoid in Sleazeland says she's out of control she must be REALLY bad.

She mentions taking this medication:
DrugBank: Showing Propiomazine (DB00777)
Propiomazine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaDescription: Propiomazine, an atypical antipsychotic agent, is used to treat both negative and positive symptoms of schizophrenia, acute mania with bipolar disorder, agitation, and psychotic symptoms in dementia. Future uses may include the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and severe behavioral disorders in autism. Structurally and pharmacologically similar to clozapine, propiomazine binds to alpha(1), dopamine, histamine H1, muscarinic, and serotonin type 2 (5-HT2) receptors.
Propiomazine (brand names: Largon, Propavan, Indorm, Serentin, Indorm, Dorevane, Dorevan) is an antihistamine, blocking H1 receptors. It is used to treat insomnia, and to produce sleepiness or drowsiness and to relieve anxiety before or during surgery or other procedures and in combination with analgetics also during labor. Propiomazine is a phenothiazine, but is not used as a neuroleptic because it does not do a good job of blocking dopamine receptors.
Propiomazine does have side effects which could explain her behavior. Effects include, confusion, drowsiness, loss of thought pattern, fast breathing.
I noticed she was breathing heavy in the beginning - but there are also other side effects which I haven't mentioned which she doesn't appear to be displaying. It would be quite amazing if she had all the side effects which could affect speech and composure.
She sounds drunk to me.
ssabmud
God.... she's fucked up.
says alot about her husband - letting her go on tv like that??! On one hand i think she is discount chavvy celebrity at its worst and on the other hand, i feel terribly sorry for her - it must be so easy to take advantage of / manipulate someone so messed up ( like i suspect her husband, & agent are) - like an anna nicole smith situation... those poor kids too....
My sister in law is just like this if she takes her medication at the wrong time.
She, however, is being treated for spinal degeneration with massive doses of pain killers. They would have had more credibility on this one if they had just said she was still on post-surgical pain killers. For her to have that many side effects from any bi-polar medication and her doctor to keep her on it(?) You have side effects like these and you change to a different medication. There's no reason to continue on something that inhibits you that way.
She was fucked up and that's the all of it
I feel so, so sorry for all of those children![]()

Bitch should have tried diet & excercise first... would have cost her less.
I think you forgot to call him (her husband) a drug-dealer too...
