Lindsay Lohan sued over 'scary' car chase

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is being sued by three men whose car she allegedly hijacked and took on a high speed chase.

The trio claim they felt "surprise, shock, fear and panic at Lohan's surprising and sudden act".

Lohan allegedly commandeered the vehicle in July 2007 to chase her recently fired personal assistant through the streets of Santa Monica.
She was arrested and pleaded guilty to two counts of being under the influence of cocaine, for which she served 84 minutes in jail. She was later admitted to rehab.

The plaintiffs - Ronnie Blake, Jakon Sutter and Dante Negro - are seeking at least $25,000 in damages. Their allegations include battery, false imprisonment and negligence.

The lawsuit claims the three men cowered in terror as Mean Girls star Lohan drove them in a breakneck pursuit.

A section reads: "Dante and Jakon continued to implore Lohan to slow down, stating specifically that she was endangering all of their lives and that they could be killed.

"Lohan refused to slow or stop, but instead responded with abusive cursing and vulgar language... She also stated that because she was a celebrity she did not acre about the risk of death."

Lohan's lawyer, Ed McPherson called the lawsuit "absurd".

"These guys had the night of their lives," he said. "They had ample opportunity to get out of the car. It's three guys who want to get a lot of headlines and want to make some money."

Lohan, 22, is also being sued for emotional distress by a passenger in the car she allegedly chased.

In another article they claim they've been trying to reach a settlement with her.

I love her lawyer's claim that these guys were having fun. Maybe they were, but I'll definitely be having fun watching them try to prove that at trial. Time to bust out the ol' checkbook, Lindsay.
