Liv Tyler: 'I am feeling the pain' of breakup
Liv Tyler is opening up about the breakup of her marriage – a painful experience that she is still struggling to come to terms with.
"For the first time in my life, it's so much harder for me to get up and brush [off] my knees," the actress tells U.K.'s Harper's Bazaar in its October issue. "I am feeling the pain and the loss of everything," she says candidly about her split last spring with her husband, British musician Royston Langdon.
Coming to terms with the end of her five-year marriage has not been easy for the actress, despite her seemingly serene nature. "I don't feel calm and collected. I feel neurotic, like Woody Allen," says Tyler, 31. "I'm a Cancer and sometimes I just feel like a crab without a shell."
Tyler who lives in New York City with the couple's three-year-old son Milo, has her own theory when it comes to healing. "I am trying to just let myself feel it," she says. "I think you have to mourn and you have to feel that pain."
For now, dating remains far from Tyler's mind. In fact, the actress says she can't even remember the last time she had a romantic kiss. "I kiss Milo on the lips all the time but I haven't had a kiss kiss for a very long time," she reveals.
On what lies ahead for the actress, Tyler says she is optimistic: "I'm trying to just take one day at a time and be the best mom I can – but it is a strange time, like walking down the road with nowhere to go ... We'll see where it takes me."

I like the way she expresses herself. She sounds sincere. Isn't she also dealing with getting off some kind of drug dependency? Good luck to her. I've always liked her for some reason.

I liked her too until i read someone's first hand account of her being a difficult bitch. I never would have thought it...
But to be fair, theres people who think I'm a bitch too, and people who don't.

I've liked her ever since I saw Empire Records when I was a little girl. Awesome movie, and she's always seemed so down-to-earth despite being celebuspawn (although, of course, she didn't know that Steven Tyler was her dad until she was 10 or 12 or so, she has spent the majority of her life being the daughter of someone famous), someone who certainly could use her showbiz contacts in order to get a start, but actually worked to get where she has gotten, career-wise, which is more than can be said for so many others!
I wish her luck and good health!

Maybe she was having a bad day? She's always seemed genuinely sweet, compared to her contemporaries, like Goldie Hawn's little monster, Kate Hudson.

Yeah it was rumored she was recently seeking help for a coke addiction.
I do like Liv. Breakups suck.

My God, really? I hadn't heard that - where were the rumours circulating? Is it suspected to be at all true?

She said she got tired of him living off of her and for taking her for granted. Once you go your separate ways it's hard to remember the bad times and it takes a really strong person to move on. It isn't easy.
I wish her the best. I don't think she's a bear to work with, at least the guys didn't say that about her working with her on Lord of the Rings.

I've always liked Liv... ever since I saw her in the Aerosmith videos.
She seems so lovely and sincere. And, my god, she is so beautiful it's unbelievable.

I agree with that whole-heartedly. I've been there myself. I think pretty much everyone has.

I've heard that Liv is pretty sweet-natured as well. The LotR cast and crew certainly seemed to love her, and that was a long and stressful shoot, so surely the full-time cast and crew would be on-edge enough already without a difficult-to-work-with co-star who was only on the set some of the time coming along and screwing everything up with bad bahaviour. I'm sure it would have leaked out if she were a bitch.

Ah, okay! Thanks for the info, guys! Why was it suspected to be Liv, though? Blind items can be so vague (and full of bullshit )
