    Pete Doherty had to be rescued from a sinking rowing boat at the weekend, The Sun reports.

    The Babyshambles singer ventured out on to a lake with manager Adrian Hunter and some friends after performing a set at the Live At Loch Lomond festival in Scotland.

    The group ran into trouble as they were crossing the water to a VIP area when they accidentally dropped one of the oars into the lake.

    Hunter said: "We lost an oar and sprang a leak. It was freezing and we had a laugh but it would not have been funny if someone died."
