Not Morgan Freeman!
FUCK! TMZ reports that 71-year-old Morgan Freeman was involved in a serious car accident in Mississippi late last night around 11:30. The one car accident happened near Ruleville, Miss.
Morgan was airlifted from the scene of the accident to a hospital in Memphis, TN. TMZ claims booze was not a factor in the accident.
What is going on with the cast of " The Dark Knight"? It's like there's a dark cloud around them. Hurry! Get Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman into the safe house!
Ugh. I just need Morgan to tell me in his velvety voice that everything is going to be okay.

August 04, 2008. Here's a report that MediaTakeOut.com just received from one of its readers. We confirmed that Mr. Freeman WAS IN FACT in a car accident:
I just got news from a very reliable source telling me that Morgan Freeman was just in a pretty bad car accident around 1:45AM in the town that he lives in which is Charleston, MS.
I was told that he and [a female friend] had been out hitting up bars and they had been doing a lot of drinking but no one knows where they were headed to around the time of the wreck. The town that he lives in is a very small town so they had to air lift Morgan Freeman to the Med in Memphis, TN. I was told that his wife was out of state on business but was contacted and was told about the wreck but I wonder if they told her that he was with [a female friend]. Not only that, [the female friend] even wanted to be air lifted with him to the Med, now how trifling is that.

I certainly hope he's going to be OK.
I was listening to the news and they said the initial reports were that alcohol may have been involved, but now they are saying that it wasn't a factor????
Who knows. I hope it wasn't and I hope he's OK.

I hope he is alright ... he is hands down one of the greatest actors around - I even remember loving him on the Electric Company as a kid.
