Better him than Kim Kardashian.
Will Dan Quayle be putting on his dancing shoes? The former Vice President of the United States is "on the short list" of potential stars for the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars," according to online sources.
While no official cast names have been announced, celebs rumored to be under consideration include socialite Kim Kardashian and former boy bander, Lance Bass. An official announcement will soon be made on "Good Morning America."
Quayle served as Veep under the first George Bush, and is best remembered for incorrectly correcting a spelling bee contestant's spelling of "potato" to "potatoe."
Season 7 of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres September 22nd on ABC.

Dan Quayle, Kim Kardashian and Lance Bass on 'Dancing With The D-List Stars?' Has TV sunk this low? Quayle better hope they don't ask him to spell anything.![]()
I'd rather see Mrs. Bush on. Now that would be entertaining!

She is such a useless shit stain on the panties of humanity~Bitter's awesome description of K.K
This cannot be serious - btw, that Barbara woman looks just like W!
Oh good God. I seriously don't know if I should feel horrified that DWTS has sunk this low, or if I should laugh hysterically about it.
...
No, I'm definetly not laughing.
Kim K and Mr. Potatoe Head? Next season will feature Screech, Heidi Fleiss, Joey Buttafucko or whatever.
This show is trash!
I'd lulz even harder if Kim K and Dan Q actually had to dance TOGETHER. Her big ass would knock that dumbfuck off his feet.
Oh please oh please oh please oh please. The thought of the rhythmic suckitude this would provide are delicious.
Aide: No Dan Quayle on 'Dancing With the Stars'
Former Vice President Dan Quayle, strutting his stuff on “Dancing With the Stars”?
Not likely, said an aide to the former Indiana senator known for his potato misspelling.
Reports circulating on the Web have suggested that the Indianapolis native is on a short list of potential contestants being considered for the show’s fall lineup.
“I can tell you that he is not doing the show,” spokesman Craig Whitney said today by phone from Quayle’s Phoenix office.
“There was contact (made), ... there was interest in having him be on the show,” Whitney said. “(But) it’s not like he said he was going to do it,” then backed out.
That said, don’t expect to spot Quayle, 61, doing the two-step, the jitterbug or — gasp — break dancing.
“Is he a big dancer? No,” Whitney said of the Web rumors. “There’s been quite a bit made of nothing, to be honest.”
The new cast for the show’s seventh season, premiering Sept. 22 on ABC, will be announced Aug. 25 on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
