Nicole Richie Regrets Her DUI

June 29 2008

Nicole Richie says she regrets her DUI conviction -- and will never forgive herself for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The socialite -- who spent just 80 minutes in jail last year after she was caught driving the wrong way down a Los Angeles freeway -- can't escape the thought she could have killed someone.
She explains, "We were watching the news once and they happened to be talking about drunk drivers. They started flashing up pictures of little children that had been killed by people driving under the influence.
"At that moment I literally felt like the worst person in the world for even trying to get out of that situation. That was our first real parent moment."
The former 'Simple Life' star -- who has a five-month-old daughter Harlow with fiance Joel Madden -- has vowed never to get in trouble with the law again as she wants to set a good example for her child.
She added, "There's absolutely no way I will do anything like that again. I never took life seriously before. I'm in a completely different place now. I owe my baby my life. I have a responsibility now. I have to really be someone I want my child to look up to. I think it's important for every child to look up to their parent. I want to show her the right path."

Since we are confessing our regrets, I regret that anyone ever paid any attention to this person. Could someone remind me why she's famous? I mean besides her rich daddy? There are lots of rich people in the world, I don't know all of their business and I don't want to.

She was friends with, and starred in that show with, Paris Hilton? That was kind of when she 'hit the scene' and got alot of attention IIRC.

She is rather boring and just makes headlines for doing stupid shit just like Parasite, I think.

How do posts just "disappear?" I thought it took tinkering by SVZ or other mods to make that happen?

SVZ was just on and posting..and I did report it and pm mods.. It did not do this 'disappearing act' on it's own. I guess they felt this was the best way to handle it. Anyhoo..she is gone.

My God, I spent like three hours on the pageant thread and only got half way through. I have to hand to you guys - you really gave those nutjobs a run for the money - my head was spinning to keep everything straight!

Nicole acts like she only did this once, she did it many times just only got caught once.

I'm no fan but she's better than Paris... a cockroach is better than Paris.
